This is CDPR. They said "We're done" with Witcher 3 - And 7 years later they gave us next gen update, bug fixes, new quest, weapons, armour....for free.

I feel like CDPR would benefit from drip feeding us random little updates once a month. Keep the community talking about Cyberpunk. I know a lot of people who would start a new play through just to find new little easter eggs or use crystal coat.

Ya know... I'm kinda ok with this. After they changed/broke so many things with 2.0, I got into CP2077 modding, mostly to fix the hard-coded keybind issue. Turned out there was SO much more out there. Since then, every major update has broken a bunch of the mods I'm running. The vast majority of the authors of the mods I care about were right on the spot and had working updates within days. If they're done with major changes, I'm pretty fine with that. It would be nice to have a native FSR implementation, but the mod on Nexusmods works really well. If the future of CP2077 is just bug fixes, that sounds like a plan. Really looking forward to whatever Orion turns out to be.

I'm right there with ya mate, even just playing the game vanilla, 2.0 and all the updates afterward kinda feel like we're chasing the train at this point. I do definitely appreicate the content and fixes they've added to the game, but I am just more so looking forward to the next step.

Hopefully not Dogtown needs optimizing. My Series X tanks frames alot in some areas and stutters when loading new areas in Dogtown. Not to mention the constant audio bugs i had playing Phantom Liberty some areas make it go choppy and towards the end some voice lines just refused to play at all. Phantom Liberty could use more updates to get it working as great as the base game. As the base game worked perfectly.

It's up to us to fix the last remaining bugs and do QOL for the game. The community has been doing one hella job every time we get a new patch. Now maybe we can all sit back, breathe deep, and use/create mods without having to worry about them breaking.

adding little things here and there doesnt mean they are done.... we all know how "little mods" change so much ingame but some random events/quests(5-10 minutes each) in the desert could be nice

I do imagine that there will be more updates in the future, given the update history of The Witcher 3. Have a hard time not seeing updates for PS6 and the Series X successor. Certainly may not be any major changes ever or any small updates soon but CDPR can't seem to stop themselves from making their games better.

I'm honestly happy with the state of the game, they only need to implement FSR3 like they promised a few months ago. The mod for LukeFZ + Ghosting Fix is amazing, but it gets really unstable when using with other mods like Otis_Inf IGCS, and Reshade doesn't work at all with it from my experience. An official implementation could iron out these issues.

the witcher 3 still got big ass updates after they said they were done with it, chances are, those small updates that they are talking about are probably bigger than just bug fixes.

Hopefully there is a 2.2 in the near future that fixes all the things that PL and 2.0 broke, I swear the game rarely had bugs back in 1.6.3 but now I get clipping NPCs, audio issues, weird enemy behavior, none of this was preset before 2.0

Aren't NG+ and co-op mainly features in sandbox games? This game is NOT a sandbox game. I'm okay with the current game being 'done' [except for bugfixes...some are still necessary, IMO]. I'm not done with the game myself, but I feel the need for a break even though I haven't explored every ending in Phantom Liberty...they can wait for a while. I'm thinking Ghost of Tsushima will be a nice change of pace when it arrives on PC in a couple of months.... The big question now will be 'how long until Orion?'. IMO 3 years would be too soon for a properly finished game...but 5 years would be a long time.

I rather enjoyed 2.0...sad this is the end of 2077. I can only hope they make a decent sequel some day. I think we'll all have to wait a while for the new Witcher to get made first before they start much major progress on Orion.
