I think this format is sick. The only thing I thought was missing before was more performance! This is the best of both worlds 10/10

I love the analogy of learning to drive and how you related it to gaining control and confidence with the modular. Totally makes sense for me too. Great job with the explanation and demo.

glad it resonated! thanks

I’m super happy with this one. Strongly agree with this format of talk + performance. Agreeing as much as I do with so many of your preferences, I still find many nuanced things to think about as to the different choices that I make. One thing you’ve shown me is that I am a lot less focused on refining to a tight case.

To each their own of course, I don't think everyone who is into modular needs to think the same way I do about case design or intent - I just find it much more personally rewarding to aim and refine an instrument towards a goal. It's nice that line of thinking seems to resonate with folks so far.

This is hard!!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥 I’m a hiphop rnb producer but I’m my heart, I love just dark, hard, industrial style music. Great job!

I wanna subscribe again, lets get you to 1k and beyond! Loving the format for this kind of thing, and I would say the genre that this fits into is "shit that i like to hear" ;) Loved the initial switch to red light, simple powerful vibe change! The weird awesomeness of modular shines through here, keep it up. Question is - when and where can we catch a performance?!

Thank you for the kind words, that means a lot. It’s been probably a decade since I played any kind of real show, and back then it was as a part of a band I was in. I’d love to play a solo set and I think some part of this channel will be documenting slowly working towards being able to play a mostly improved but worthwhile 30-60 minute set across my two cases. We’ll see if that someday translates to an in-person show

On the Nautilus if you pull open the usb drive, there’s a little text document (it might be .json maybe?) where you can customize the nautilus without rewriting the firmware. Knob assignments (at least for the small knobs) are part of that.

Yeah unfortunately when it comes to knob-config that just lets you tweak the left and right attenuverter targets: narwhal.qubitelectronix.com/ Neat that it exists at all, but not quite what I'd want to achieve a more playable mix knob

Love your channel. Very inspiring. And you don't patch a cv sequencer. I´ll try that too. Promise.
