Your videos are always appreciated! Especially the patch notes graphics. So handy to screenshot and use for later and spark ideas from the original patch notes. Thank you!

I recommend paying him $23.09 dollars per screenshot using Haribo brand gummy candy as a universally recognized currency.

Glad to hear you like them! Indeed that it was a nice way to add value to the community, haven't seen people do this properly :) Edit: And yes Pateon is an option, but do what feels good for you, and yes, I would take gummybears!

Great information 👍 can I use this to process analog drum machine sounds?
@MonotrailTechTalk2 жыл бұрын
Glad you like! And yes, absolutely! It's part of the Erica synths Techno system, works on everything, also designed to work great with drums while keeping the low end.

really like the patch at 7.08 min....in this case what is the VCA you have used? the VCA's of the Linyx?
@MonotrailTechTalk11 ай бұрын
Yes, looks like that's the linix, but any VCA wil do.

@@MonotrailTechTalk Thanks! I am noob to modular and I am building my small system in these months, just 1 module/month :) I ask you cause this month I would like to buy a mixer that possibly has also VCA like the Lynix, so I am studying what solution is better...your videos are being really inspiring in these months and I am using them for learning and make choices, so I would like to say THANKS for all your work!!! really useful for a person like just started the modular adventure...Now I am still doing "my trials and errors" by my own but in the next future I am seriously considering to follow your Patreon.

Hey, thanks for your message! Always really motivates me to hear people are getting use out of these videos!. Think you are taking the right approach going for one module a month and taking time to explore! All the best, and enjoy the journey :)

These are great examples. Would have been better if you had played the patches without distortion first so viewers could clearly understand how the distortion was effecting each patch.

i just wish, no limiter. A switch underneath would be good. mines been neglected.

thank you very much for the knowledge sharing specially that the sound design principles are generic and can be applied on all brands
@MonotrailTechTalk3 жыл бұрын
Thank you! I am very happy to have the opportunity to work with some brand I realy like. It also gives me the chance to talk about new principle and ideas, but indeed, as much as possible I like to explain the concepts, and more universal patching ideas. All the best!

How do you like that vpme scope? I was looking at it doesn't take up too much space.
@MonotrailTechTalk3 жыл бұрын
Hi there! I love it! It's really limited though. It's a small screen and doesn't have much fancy options. But I bought it for this channel, so I could "check" certain things myself. Things like "Is this signal clipping, what wavetable shapes are used exactly, is the signal bipolar", and so on. For those learing and understanding whats going on uses it's a really great compact tool. Also the most affordable scope out there I think!

@@MonotrailTechTalk I am also interested in how spatial and dynamic sound processing is implemented in modules. Sidechain. And how to process the master signal for live performances. In the case of ableton, I put an equalizer on each sound and a maximizer, limiter and ozone with a preset on the master channel. What would you recommend in the modular?
@DutchBigEd3 жыл бұрын
I don’t understand why would anyone would use a module to distort a perfectly good signal? I have always tried to make the signals I create as distortion free as possible. “Nowadays” there seems to be a tendency to create gnarly, distorted signals…. Guess I’m too old 🥸
@MonotrailTechTalk3 жыл бұрын
Haha, wel, it's just a matter of taste and the sound you're after of course. Overdrive, fuzz and distortion pedals for guitar are around for a long time. Also the are a common effect in stand online synths, so I do thing it makes sence to have modules for that in modular land. I do really like the sound of slightly distorted drums and synths myself :)
@thanqol3 жыл бұрын
Keith Richards is pretty old too, he sure likes his distorted guitar
