Actually had a Samsung TV that refused power on. I ended up having to wait 2 weeks for a replacement main board. I did try replacing the eight pin eeprom for $15 but no luck. I wish I would have ran across this video last year but luckily I saved my old main board just in case the new one eventually fails. The replacement board actually also has a problem where the volume up and down will stop working and max out to only be able to increase or decrease by three points until you reset the TV. I then added a Google Chromecast to the second HDMI port and the problem resolved. Pretty sure that with an additional 5 volt HDMI input I somehow solved a ground problem or power problem that was affecting the volume up or down. Never thought about reflowing the main CPU though on the original board. Great tip!

Hey man. You might be the angel I've been looking for. I have a 65 inch Samsung q800t. My main bored will no longer hold power. It clicks on and off as you can see the light from the digital optical port flash as well as the stand by. I've tried to replace every other board and am convinced it's the mainboard. Samsung discontinued this board. If you are able to fix this I would love to pay for your services..!! Thank you for your time

I have a Samsung 46 " Inch UN46D6450. The top half of the screen has a few different issues with the picture. Horizontal lines, the menus are jumpy and leave almost a ghost image behind. Just seems to be the top hald though? Appreciate your video and your time. Any thoughts or advice would be greatly appreciated. I'm about halfway through your video so I'm gonna keep watching.

reset all the flat cables that are connected to the t-con. Both ends and see if this resolves your issues

Mine is UN75F8000 version TS01. Local repair shop can't get parts anymore. Won't even diagnose for $$$!? Pls help hate to throw this away. Wish I had a schematic available for test voltage points.

Thank you for the reply. I did purchase one from a seller with high ratings and it was worse. They must have known because when I asked for a refund theu didn't even want the old one back. I took the black cover off the card you show here and it's full of dirt. So nowi have 2 main boards lol. I guess it would be easier to buy another instead of this tool? Or do you think if I give the dirty one a bath in somthing it may work? I tried to blow it off real good ,but when ilook with the magnifying glass I can still se loose dry granuals of dirt stuck in all the crevices. If I get that cleaned out do you think that will make a difference? Thank you very much!

You have to buy new parts and pay the price and enjoy the fix without the hassles. Otherwise, you will go through things like that. Cheap is a sign of trouble. If a new part for example cost $152 then an Ebay seller want $25 - go figure.@@richk8909

Main board issue. Replace it if you can or try whats in this video. It's not working anyway. I'm about to do just that with the same issue. Tick tock no backlight, while TV is on disconnect the cable from main board no tuck tick and backlighs comes on. Well I used the infrared red reheater to re-flow the gba same problem. No fix for me.

I have a Samsung TV model no. LA37C550J1R when I connect it to the power outlet the red standby light turn on, but when I push the power button of the tv. It doesn't turn on. I opened the back of the tv and tried to diagnose it. I disconnected the wire from the motherboard connecting from the power supply board and the backlight turns on. I guess the motherboard is busted. Can I still fix this? I cant find a replacement board here in the Philippines.

Yes. Connect an input signal and watch the red light to see if you get sound.

@@Patch1stripeTVParts I already disconnected the T-con tape wire unfortunately I dont have input signal device but nothing changed when i disconnected ng t-con wire. The backlight didnt light up. The backlight only lit up when i disconnect the wire of the motherboard from the power supply board. That's the only time the backlight lights up.

If you don’t have a WiFi model on that TV to disconnect than you have a bad main board. The part number is on the same barcode that has the model number on it. Good troubleshooting!
