I agree 100%. When I first tested this, I was surprised it was more rose-spice forward than I expected. It’s nice enough but wasn’t enough for me to buy.

Nice fragrance. My favorite is Ambre Eternel but it was discontinued. They moved the line for the Aqua Allegoria new line and discontinued Bois Mysterieux and a couple more.

Cheers Marc,yeah I skipped this one when I heard it wasn’t a Patchouli centric fragrance ,so I figured it would be close to others in my collection from the line and bingo you confirmed my suspicions,thanks for that . Amber Eternal would be high on my list but I won’t pay silly bugger prices ,so I don’t think I will have me a bottle anytime soon lol . Great review much appreciated man 🙏✌️👍

I have two from this line, Santal Royal and Encens Mythique. Both of which I love (SOTD being Santal Royal). Didn't smell this one when I was last in a Guerlain boutique. Traveling in April and will probably have an opportunity to smell this one. Though, your discussion of the rose in here makes me wonder if it would be a bit redundant with the rose in Santal Royal.

@@robes08You and I have very similar noses. I love a good dank castoreum fragrance, so I HAD to buy Homa after I tested it. The goat hair tincture in there is super edgy. They have a good bit of animalic selections, but their ouds and ambers are so good that it took me probably six-seven months to really analyze the complexities fully after wearing them. Keep doing what you’re doing and thank you for being honest about all the reviews you do. It’s super refreshing and gives me something to look for or note the next time I sniff a sample. 👍👍

Hi Mark, I bought a new bottle of Knize Ten by your suggestion to my riquest for a good leather fragrance. I find the fragrance interesting, more floral than leathery, but overall a good fragrance. Unfortunately on my skin doesn't last long enough though... I have guerlain cuir intense in my collection and rien intense incense and I'm going to buy memo Iberian leather... Have you got any other suggestion for a great leather fragrance? Thx
