This watch literally raises my blood pressure. I've been in love with it since its launch. I really do hope to own this one day.

I like this much more than the Nautilus , it looks solid and sporty and elegant .

I like it better than the Nautilus because I always thought that the Nautilus was overpriced as I’m a fan of the Royal Oak. I like that Paul and Ringo have Aquanauts.

I took a measuring tape to my wrist this weekend; 16 cm. This opens up a whole new world to me vis-à-vis your videos.

Great Watch, yet Prices are going Nuts by now. As i hear PP wants the Aquanaut to be their prime Sportsmodel soon; concentrating more on Gold-models and Platinum also with Nautilus.

I get that’s it’s a Patek but ~$70k for a stainless/rubber watch w a 40hr power reserve and no hacking seconds is the epitome of hype driven mania. The BLRO is comparatively a steal even at grey market prices

Apart from the pepsi GMT, this is the only ultra-hyped watch where I fully understand the appeal. And with this travel time complication, sigh, I'd never want another watch, if I had this.

Beautiful Watch, compared to Richard Mille Trash Watch, this a complete bargain! The aesthetics and engineering is amazing on the Patek!

I'm not sure I'd want a supermarkets branding on it, and unless I'm mistaken they are not doing it anymore.

My guess is with the Nautilus being discontinued, the Aquanaut will take its place..... until that one gets axed.
@johnyu883 жыл бұрын
lol, what are you talking about. Just the 5711 was discontinued. Other versions of the Nautilus (in different materials/complications) still exist, and a new evolution of the 5711 will get launched soon enough.
@xekret3 жыл бұрын
@@johnyu88 You probably didn’t read what Thierry Stern said in an interview that the 5711 will have one last “farewell” run and thats it. Who knows what that means but he will not continue any further evolutions of the 5711 model. Thats what I meant that the base Aquanaut will take its place as the hottest steel watch Patek will offer. So next time, look at it closely.
@johnyu883 жыл бұрын
@@xekret All we have is a brief quote from Stern published in the NYT, and there's definitely information being withheld (rightly so), so there's room for interpretation/misinterpretation. HODINKEE also published thoughts from 4 collectors/historians on the 5711, and none of them say that a time-only steel Nautilus will cease to exist; all of them say a new reference will launch eventually and it will be evolution not revolution.

@smashexentertainment6763 жыл бұрын
So if you cut the strap a bit too much you need to buy a new one? And if you wanna sell the watch? Patek at least could provide a clasp with 2-3 segments give or take. Considering that original strap is $750..
@smashexentertainment6763 жыл бұрын
@@BobbyDazzler888 that's not an excuse for a crappy design. Imagine you fukced up a strap and waiting for two weeks to get a new one. While the watch is just in a box, dead weight. Imagine you fukced up the second one too. I often micro adjust my bracelets and use different holes on straps to make it tight or loose depending on how I feel. In case of this Patek you'll need to switch between different size straps in order to do that. Rolex had that problem, but now it's fixed, due to ton of complaints.

I feel like after you get this watch, you'd feel a lot more free to explore watches that aren't conventionally "tasteful", that is, if you aren't already doing that. This is where the watches with crazy, outlandish designs start entering the collection
