How did you find the taping technique? Use some coverall/fixomul first if you have an issue with sports tape directly on your skin, and good luck taking it off if you have hairy legs!

Appreciate the kind words mate. The more rigid sports tape is often a much better tape to use as its structure can genuinely help support and guide tissue better. Kinesiology tape can sometimes be a little bit more marketing spin than structurally and mechanically helpful!

The base of the patella is the most proximal portion. The apex of the patella is the distal portion.

Respectfully, it’s the other way around Brian! Proximal = closest to the top, Distal = furthest away from the midline

Before taping I was afraid my knee would give out while walking. After taping it still hurts but the pain is reduced enough that I can walk safely.
