I went to the MCG in 1995 to see Carlton vs Collingwood. I saw that Mc Guane goal live. But the best thing was getting to farewell Peter Daicos.

we are lucky the recruiting staff noticed his talent, imagine him playing for some other team, then we would not have gotten his two champion sons to play for collingwood right now, they showed there class and talent immediately, they barely needed any time to adjust to the big league, they just stared as soon as they hit the turf, both his sons are champions too, of there are father son combinations but the daicos boys are highly talented and he trained them very well, they are highly skillful !!!

@@snowman01 I grew up knowing the family as our mothers worked together. His parents spoke Macedonian & English but not Greek. I'm of Greek origin but my mother spoke several languages, including Macedonian. He's a Preston boy & went to PEHS . Nice family & his parents were great.

@@anastasios3006 I am Macedonian and in all fairness who really cares. The Dad watched South Melbourne, his other son was on the board at Preston Lions and last season Peter along with Josh and Nick attended a Preston Lions function. Some people care about this way too much. At least when Alex Volkanovski fights next month neither side can argue as he is half Macedonian, half Greek and representing Australia. Everyone is happy lol.

@@ragg1nr I grew up with the family, I don't really care about their nationality debate. For me, they were nice and friendly family friends as I was growing up before his footy took off. I was close with his younger brother, who sadly passed away last year.
