True, but unfortunately they can't go back. The kids are here time for both of them to grow up! I got pregnant at 21 and worked through my pregnancy. I was 22 when my son was born, his father decided to not be apart of his life. When someone has kids they need to make changes and realize that life doesn't revolve around their own needs. It's the children who come first, and at the very least it's a 18 year commitment in providing for them. And then even though they may be adults, give them emotional support and strength.

I don't think he was ever admonished by them. My husband didn't grow up with his father and my grandfather was great because he did not have a son. We became a very close family. My grandfather was a Garbeyite and my husband and I were part of the US organization. We had a lot in common and when there were problems they nipped it at the bud. I'm 74 and survived the 70s in L. A. There's a lot of work to do during a marriage. Also, when you wore a dashiki with your baby on your back, partying was not a problem. 😊
