I share your sentiments. My mother abandoned me before I turned two years old and I was raised by my father and his first wife. I was sexually abused by my house sisters 50 something year old boyfriend at the age of 10 for a few hundred dollars per month in our home. I was starved, beaten, neglected and horrifyingly miss treated by people who claimed to love me. While I am an adult and I am now raising my own 16-year-old son, I still struggle with feelings of self worth and thoughts of whether or not someone can truly love me thanks to my own flipping mother. Some women don’t deserve to give birth and some men don’t deserve to help create life. I will be praying for you and know that none of that was your fault. I’m sure you’re a great person and that you have the potential to touch others to help them become great. Ultimately you're thinking that it will hurt him the same way it hurt you.. sweetheart, even if it does hurt him the same way, he may not express it the way you would.. in his mind that is a challenge.. you're gonna lose or never stop playing.
