I am happy to see how much fanfare Path of Achra has gotten upon its 1.0 release, as another solo developed effort finds it way into the hearts and minds of the Roguelike community. And yet -- it's a game I've been struggling with for awhile. I have said on this channel before that it's because I'm not smart enough, but maybe instead I'm just making things hard on myself. Kind of like worth, where simple issues with textbook solutions have run into the greatest buzz-saw of all: reality. So you get some game play and some life update all in a package of talking about some drama surrounding some of my more recent (and still ongoing!) cases. Fun times were had, but by whom?

Thanks for the kind words. The fun part about people decrying "the system" is that oftentimes they're not wrong. People just shrug and ask, "well, what can you do?"

Have you reached out to local Deaf/ Hard of Hearing advocacy agencies? They can help point your client in the right direction for getting accommodations and may have ideas on other adaptive strategies as a stopgap. An OT consult may also be helpful to assess which types of equipment will be the most effective for your client.

I have reached out, thanks for the suggestion. I've met some very nice people who, at least so far, have wished me well and hope that I can get more timely assistance from the VA or the court system.
