Interesting to see such a different approach to crit hexblast from my own. I might want to try incorporating the spike as well. Though my conclusion is that the final version of this sort of build will be some sort of blood magic approach, to avoid having to invest anything into mana. But ofc only possible at 8 asc points. Sad that im not playing again till january so I wont be here for when people hit that point and start theorycrafting life-only :(

Your vids are great too, trying to fit in disdain now after seeing your update. My problem with BM is that pathing to it is not feasible because its too far so the only option is the helm which competes with disdain which is just too damn strong. Other problem are that its impossible to full stack life as topside witch - forced to also scale ES otherwise you die to any t15 with damage mods too easily and of course BM doubles life costs. Also, already invesitng ~200 int points just to use gems is already 1/3 of the way there to scaling mana. I cant see the angle for BM unfortunately

Moved into a hexblast crit bloodmage after the CoF nerf, it was good, not great. After watching your videos, it's going much, MUCH better. The triple curse defence layers are making it smooth sailing. Thanks mate, keep it up!

love it. am currently maxing life regen at level 59 to break even with damage and survive. if i didn't have your guide to go off, i may have joined the majority of people who rerolled and quit. excited to follow your build exactly later.

Love the build. Really like using Blasphemy and curse debuffs in general so this is perfect for me. And having sceptre buffs are enjoyable in co-op. Hopefully it keeps working. Thank you a ton for making these, its going to be what I main until Templar comes out. Could you make a video breaking down how you'd go through the passive tree as you leveled if you wanted to do this before endgame? I just got Hexblast and want to build into it during the campaign.

pretty good guide, have me lots of ideas on how to pivot from ED/CONT with recoup into a stronger hexblast setup. On that note, are you able to update your maxroll guide so I can check things as a quick reference (like the tree for example) EDIT: I also want to ask about the 3 points in hindered capabilities - does this not specifically apply to the hinder debuff? As it doesn't look like that's being applied anywhere; Or is it simply picked up for the slow magnitude increase for Temporal Chains?

Any chance you can snapshot the character into readable format? Would make it easier to double check what you got. IE maxroll import etc. Also if you are utilizing weapon swap, Sigil Swap Staff has felt pretty nice.

A small note here for people who might have the same problem. I had issue with offering not working correctly. My issue was that for weapon skill 2 I didnt have enough spirit so it lagged out. I adjusted spirt for weapon skill 2, so it has 2 clerics, and now it works fine

@@PeaceforManga bm is too far on the tree so you need to use helm, if you're using uniq helm disdain is so powerful nothing else is worth that slot

Thanks for the video. The passive skills I initially chose were similar to this but relied on minions to tank & revive to heal me (sounds stupid but it was great through the campaign and early tiers), but was having trouble figuring out how to transition to crit & energy shield for higher tiers. Thought I'd have to drop event horizon and everything else on the right side of the tree but grim feast seems to completely alleviate the problem of you hitting your energy shield constantly so it never charges. I missed that your ES can overflow with it when I originally read it and it seems to be flavorful with blood mage since you're picking up orbs regardless. Gonna end up doing this. I barely need to make any changes and I have no idea how I didn't think of this. Thanks! Any reason for not picking up patient barrier?

His skillgem lvl is 27. The multipliers apply after the flat boost from the skill.

Hi can't you essence craft defences - get a good ES roll then greater essence craft to hit the other ES roll when it goes rare? Also i'm running and archmage/EB dual-curse version of this build with kitoko's gloves to have massive lightning damage and electrocute chance(1/2) times on t15 bosses instead of freeze. I'm on 2.5k life 3k mana right now with 44% damage taken as mana(mental perseverance annointed and five 4% damage taken as mana jewels) and 60k tooltip dps with offering up. 500 mana regen per second when moving. I didnt know you can do wand + sceptre so watching your vids improved my build so much

i gave up crafting gear pieces hahahaha felt like ramming my head against a wall. Just bought all my gear. Life roll > ES roll imo, I dont think ES is that worth focusing on since we lose -1 prefix on all pieces for life, -1 on boots for MS, and -1 on chest for spirit. Might as well invest less into ES and get some mana prefixes to help with mana regen

too much suffix pressure, mainly because sceptre and my amulet is all damage mods. You could use it if you focus more on resists on amulet (hoenstly good idea) and get tankier

Faster cast time, contagion is single target and essence drain can be spread with projectile modifier supports

I saw another build. The guy maxed his energy shield up to 11k+ and took a passive skill that sets your life to 1 and gives you immunity to chaos damage. So you no longer care about the loss of life from Blood Mage ascendancy. Also, there is a good synergy between chaos damage and poison. Plus you have a support gem for poison.

you should try the unique boots that have decompose on them. u barely ever need to even cast hexblast that direction , you kill 1 enemy and its spreading with the breach. I've tried running your setup with the curses but swapping to the decompose just completely made the mapping a lot easier

ive considered it but right now iahve 2 gear pieces alrady with no defensive stats, maulet and sceptre so its really hard to justify putting on another piece with 0 stats. Already hard enough to cap resists as it is

ive found that having only 1 curse does not really give me any damage cuz u can just go focus in offhand and with atziri's that gives max energy shield based on max hp is. ive ditched the tricurse cuz i felt like its too much of a loss on stats with the scepter being just a spirit stick with nothing else on it really. finding rest of the pieces with max resistance is hella expensive but its just so much more convinient to clear breaches with

ive also found that preemptive strike helps me a lot to clear maps even tho my gear is not that juiced so it might be nice alternative for ppl that have not reached that high crit damage just for clear :3
