Works great on Arch Linux Hyprland (Nvidia). Just had to change from Vulkan to DirectX12 in the path of exile 2 config file. i9-9900k 2080ti

Hi, @9:20 - you can just put the whole path into single-quotes and bash will crunch it. Like ... $nano '/games/path of spaces.exe' @12:15 - for me, any upscaling method, no matter if DLSS/FSR/XeSS just totally destroys visual quality in a way that lightning and contrast is washed out, when its raining there are no raindrops on the pavement/in pool of water and so on. So I do play with none upscaling at all (RTX4080 + 565.77 driver, tkg 6.12, Kubuntu custom) @12:35 - same here with triple buffering setting, I cannot turn it off. It seems it is forced now, maybe that is a part of the fact that then when you are running the game on Vulkan (yes, vulkan works for me on nVidia as well) but FPS is locked to monitor framerate maximum (like forced vsync with vulkan). dxvk has unlimited frames for me. PS: enjoy PoE2! :-)

6900xt here with 5800x3d, can't disable tripple buffering as well. This same issue is on POE1 as well and it's only on linux that for some reason you can't disable tripple buffering.

The game ran first time without issue on my Ubuntu 24.04 install using Steam. A new proton update was downloaded at the same time and voila!

iirc the vulkan renderer doesnt work well on wayland, im using it on xorg just fine it also *sometimes* works on wayland but only if you are on windowed mode

I've noticed with every single game I have thats native Vulkan on Windows... it never works good on Linux (or usually on Windows either). It always works better to use the DirectX option.

The game starts having a very low framerate while inputing (moving mouse or pressing a key) and only using like 50% of my 3070 after a while (ca. 30m to 1h) I'm using DX12 and I'm on nixos using the latest stable nvidia drivers with the open source kernel module on wayland plasma6.

Does discord screen sharing work yet? FWIW a few months ago I was running CachyOS and it improved 1% lows in Black Desert Online by a lot, but I couldn't get exitlag to work so I begrudgingly went back to Windows.

I posted this in steam deck reddit but I have seen no one talk about the input lag. I don't know if it's just me but on both my steam deck and on desktop, I have very bad input lag. On desktop using X11 there is ZERO input lag but on Wayland there is. It's the same amount as on my steam deck. both controller and mouse and keyboard No one mentions it but if anyone else experiences this and has fixed it let me know

This could be a download loop Bug, GGG had an announcement in Discord about this. Some people have it. Or it could be shader Cache? If you have a decent PC, you can Turn Off pre shader Cache.

Had stutter lag, and manage to turn triple buffering off once, but it automatically got turned on, after a while of playing. This settings causes the game to stutter for me, and is very unplayable. Running Mint 22. Please make a video, if you find out how to turn that shit off :D

dx12 runs much worse, atleast on linux. Vulkan gets about 50% more fps. but Vulkan is broken on wayland for this game. To use vulkan you must use X11.

Or you can just install it with Lutris, like you would install a game in windows.

if anoyine else having problems with it not running go to where you install it insll mine for example my Documents so /home/laspooky/Documents/Games/drive_c/users/laspooky/My Documents/My Games/Path of Exile 2/ you can find the config file and change vulkan for directx12
