*PS. D2R character models are made to reflect +25years of age & it shows. It looks wied at first - but makes 100%sence. The characters all look good. They fit the environment without looking like DEI/ESG blue haired abominations. The one issue i have with this game is that uniques are practically worthless. Like wtf. Why are the most potentially exiting drops completely disappointing?

I have a couple good unique I havnt been able to stop wearing at lvl48. Had a chest peice I wore all the way towards the end of act3 but eventually had to change it out purely based on needing the armor req. My only complaint on unique so far is that I'd like the skills that the weapons come with to be leveled up, like the staff I have is great but lighting bolt is stuck at lvl 8. And if I could blacksmith the armor up higher it would be nice, and that makes sense to me. Otherwise some unique will just be for early or mid game and I suppose that's alright with me as well.

Something needs to happen with the skill gems but I agree that they should not go back to the Poe 1 style of leveling them. I've been meditating a lot on this game and journey since I started on day one of Early Access... And by meditating, i mean a full spectrum range of emotions from pure bliss to total rage and contempt. But GGG is right there with me/us through these choppy (kind of) waters. Loot felt abysmal first few days, they handled it... dodge roll was fucked with body blocks, handled, now trial of sekhamas melee is getting "fixed" after the holidays. I have been vacillating between whether these devs are full blown incompetent in some of these design choices or if they have built great bones on this game and they just have to flesh out the details of each system. I am starting to fully trust the latter. The more i play, the more systems and mechanics i fully understand and the more i see that there truly is a game laid out in front of us that we COULD play forever, as you put it... And guess what? That would mean Diablo 2 finally has good company with PoE2. Games that you can look back 25 years from launch and go "i havent found everything" and "i fuckin love to spin up a new character over and over and live the journey, the hunt". We're in the midst of greatness here and we've got ourselves a G A M E.

I'm playing a non minion Chaos/Bone Infernal Witch with non passive boost Unearth to eat shots when necessary. I kinda like that the Witch looks like a normal person, even slightly sickly because it reflects the environment of the game. I'll tell you something I can't stand anymore in this game: for the love of God, stop giving me Dex equipment. It's like the game knows I'm using an Intelligence/Strength build and it's intentionally trying to piss me off. Like 50% of the equipment I get is anquater staff or some trash evasion armor.

About leveling up skill gems 3 to 1: I think they can use this in acts and some early maps, but further during maps progression you can only drop them from mobs of higher tier. Like a test if you deserve to level it up so to speak) And while it is not a big deal in a trade league where you can just buy them from the others, playing in SSF you will be extatic to finaly upgrade your gem to a new level.

Yes to all of this! I'm a working dad, this is the game I wanted. Found it annoying when steamers kept saying D4 is for us. No, I wanted this. Level 51 so dad's can do it too. We are the ones who played D2 ffs. Edit: I'm an Ice Bitch and the Russian accent has grown on me.

Bro, stop this "treasure hunting" thing. You are playing poe2 expecting something like Diablo 2, this is not gonna happen. The reason we continue grinding is not to find the treasure, is to put our builds to test doing the hardest content possible and there are some already in PoE2 but they will add so much more. The "rare" itens you are looking for are all in the endgame and they change from time to time. The best itens in the game are specific perfect rolls yellow itens that you'll never drop, those only can be crafted to perfection, which is another beauty of this game. And we will do this every 3-4 months each league, starting from 0. The beauty of this game is to work on a build, make it work and go all the way up to the pinacle bosses.

Game is pretty good, nothing exceptional and very far from a new APRG evolution. I really enjoyed the campaign but the latter half turned into POE 1.5 for me with crazy on-death effects, blazing fast mobs while giving us half the tools compared to POE 1.5. I am farming t15/t16's now and getting quite bored of the end game.

Been playing a giants blood 2 hander in one hand shield in the other and it's been the most fun I've ever had in an action rpg. The armor breaking block and boneshatter skills are just do damn satisfying with the sound effects to match. Hey the games early access, and it's the worst now that it's ever going to be....

Gem levels require specific character level and attributes to use. They would have to remove those restrictions. If they did that, ppl would be running lvl 15 shocking arrow on a lvl 1 warrior. Good idea but it wouldn't be good

@@brandonzanzig3200 It would be honestly fine. You would still need the attribute stats which you can get with some clever gear and tree nodes. Which means you can work for it. In fact its the only reasonable way to scale if you get stuck on some boss because you are severely underpowered/undergeared. Is it better to buy the gem from trading site? I think not. The other way is to simply farm for gear which in some cases might in fact take a hell lot of hours and is not exactly fun cause its a gamba. This is an issue that even high end streamers have seen in the game with the current gem system and how scaling can happen if you hit a wall with a bad build or without gear. It can happen. Its just a smart way around it to solve one of the important issues the current game has.

I think the game is fine the way it is. Sure there's going to changes because it is early access, it's basically why we're playing it now is to find the bugs and help balance the game. I get the feeling people think they have to beat the game first play through but that's not arpg's. We're supposed to figure out builds that can stand up to the difficulty and hone our skill as well. The do it all over again with another character. Endless game play.

I am struggling with the act 2 boss on my 3rd character attempt and over 70 hours. I don't mind a challenge but it's been a little frustrating.

I think PoE 2 is an awesome game!! But you know what I love about D1 and D2 Iceman? Every single character, everysingle zone and monsters, are very meaningful, and after a play through you'd remember them... remember the spiritual journey, the encounters etc... I think PoE 2 has achieved that in a way.. but I still think D1 and D2 have something special about them that I believe no other aRPG will reach

Considering the game isn't done yet, and the polish isn't there yet. I think it's not fair to judge quite yet. Aside from the nostalgia factor, I think every zone, character, enemy is PoE 2 is very memorable and interesting in PoE 2, just like the original Diablo games. It's absolutely the spiritual successor.

Interesting video, in poe1 Yeena and the gemling queen do not wear allot of clothes and it caught my eye and made me smile....early access will last no less than 6 months many changes inbound and you'll need play your way following others builds isn't exactly the best way to play, my ranger in poe1 is purely my build and took me a long time to get it in a really great place...the devs of poe2 are not going to let the whiners win and I feel the game needs to be different from poe1..keep up the great work Iceman been enjoying your take on the game

just finished act 1. Game has not been difficult at all. But its very very slow. the pace of the game. im playing the sorc maybe thats just this class. also saw merc is also super slow. Also never been into crafting which seems to be this games back bone. always have to use this gem to upgrade this this gem to add a stat then another gem to upgrade. tedious as hell imo. I don't want to spend my time doing that stuff.. i want to slay stuff and get drops.

I’m almost done with Act 2 first clear. I like the drop rates of items so far. I stumbled upon a magic bow with +1 projectile with a better base than I had. I immediately thought this could be my next weapon. Augmented it, upgraded to rare, and socketed and now I feel the power! I am so much stronger now. Feels great! As for skill gems, this might not be the correct solution, but I bought a skill gem tab. Whatever I don’t want to use I just chuck it in there. I think it holds up to 300 or something.

PoE 2 seems like a very slow game to me and there is still a lot to polish, I have returned to D2R, where I have 36 online characters level 93 or more, I have to go looking for pieces that are missing, I have a character level 98, and it can be that for the first time it reaches 99 online.

Dudes these days think if they can't clear every enemy on the map with one mouse click after 5 mins of playing, the game is too hard. "Oww daddy my pssy hurts." Making long videos complaining "my char is so bad its such a slogfest I tried everything". Come to find out there didn't even level their character up. " Buhbuh the youtuber has a better character than me so my character sucks". I never compare myself to others, and never look at guides or lists, because that just drains my life force. I too would like some more comfortable clothing for my sorc because what is the point of full body armor after I become so good and powerful nothing touches me.

I have a lot of problems with PoE 2. Uniques never drop and 99% of them are useless. The skill gem system is boring. Skill gems never drop in the early game. The charm system being tied to the belt is stupid. Crafting in PoE 2 is the worst crafting in any ARPG. There’s too much RNG and bricking, nothing is deterministic. You can’t customize the sex/look of your characters. Cosmetics in PoE 2 are terrible, they are ugly and expensive. The game doesn’t give you any cosmetics from in game progression. Progression is slow. The level design is slow and boring. The movement and gameplay is very slow. The dodge mechanic is horrible. The bosses have one shot mechanics which don’t belong in ARPGs. Playing the game is just going from one RNG zone to another and tip toe through the massive map and kill one enemy at a time. Bricking characters is too easy. There’s no group finder. Respecing a character is too hard. There is no skip campaign. There’s no divination system, 99% of the endgame content is missing. the itemization is boring. There’s no multiplayer in the game. There’s no trade market. The inventory system is a joke, just teleporting to town all the time. Why are scrolls of wisdom in the game? Ascending is a joke. The endgame is a boring and repetitive. Clearing maps take forever. It’s a worse game than D4.
