Just found this build. Got a like and a sub from me :) I started betrayal league (the first time i've ever actually tried PoE... go me :P) as a chaos brand elementalist. I leveled with storm brand until you can pick up chaos brand and ended up losing interest before i finished out the leveling/build. For some reason i actually enjoyed storm brand more than choas... visuals or something... no idea. But as i started thinking about messing around in Synthesis i began to wonder if there was a newbie friendly storm brand setup. And here i am.

Hey bro, you should use Vall Righteous Fire and not Righteous Fire, Also remember that It needs to be level 8 or higher before linking with Cast When Damage Taken or it will be automatically casted when you take damage. Just removes Cast When Damage Taken from your gear until Vaal Righteous Fire is level 8.

Hey my friend. Got a few questions about build. 1st time player and love it, as well as your build. I’ll try to keep short and any answers would be awesome. 1- does socket order matter as long as colors correct? 2- on uniques, any tricks to get right colors? Ive used well over 100 chromo’s on leather helmet and no-go. Also tried enhancement machine and no-go. 3 reds and a green is my closest so im running vaal blades:-( 3- are there any gem caps other than 2 shown in vid? CWDT reads can only support level 38 and lower?? Correct?? Cap vall at 38?? Thanks for any time and help you can give me. 1/ Socket order does not matter as long as correct colors AND the links between the sockets are the same. So if you have a 3-L on a 4-socket item, there's 3 different ways that 3L can link. Top left, top right, bottom right as one example. Bottom left, Top left, Top right is another one. If the color of your sockets was... RG/BB it would make no difference. However, if it were RG/BG, one 3L is going to be RGB and one will be RGG. 2/ It helps to have the colors right on uniques as if you want to use say 'Faster Attacks' and have the wrong socket color, it won't fit into the color. Where the colors exist don't matter as long as the links are the same. So R-R-B vs R-B-R vs B-R-R are all the same. 3/ CWDT can support higher level gems but requires more dmg to be taken to cast. It's a trade-off. For some skills, having 3+ lvls to your ability makes its' effecitveness go up a lot so having it go off every 1000dmg vs 600dmg is worth it for the great increase in effiiency. Other skills 3+ lvls barely has a functional difference so having it go off after 1000dmg vs 600dmg is a huge loss in frequency for very little effectiveness. You can always reset a cwdt take n gem for 1 regret orb to the lowest lvl and the attached skills if you find lvling it makes you build feel less effective and/or buy a new lvl 1 off poe.trade if its cheaper currency than 1 regret orb.

vaal gems contain both vaal and regular skills. cwdt only works on regular skills and not the vaal skills... for now you are gonna have to cast the vaal righteous fire yourself until GGG decides to enable vaal skills to proc CWDT.

Could you please explain how the mechanics "Vaal righteous Fire" and "Curse on hit/Warlord's Mark" work with this build. 1) I equipped Vaal Righteous fire in low lvl practice other day, and seemed to hit a point on Maligaros map (Act 7) where I just could not survive, I had to unequip the gem 2) I don't understand if I need to manually activate Warlords mark via a hotkey, or if this skill casts automatically somehow? i believe in higher hp pools (like 4k 6k) u can easily survive the rightoust fire considering it only does 2-3 k dmg and with flask is ez regen (not sure try in a standart high lvl )

As someone already commented, this build would be good on Inquisitor only because Elementalist is a total shit nowadays as we all know. You take all Crit chance possible to help the wonderful ignored resistances on crit proc and you smash everything, boss included.

Casting Brand Recall refreshes the brand cooldown for a short time, but b/c you have a lvl 8+ brand recall, you can cast it again before the brand runs out. So if you're recalling on cooldown (with a recall supported by the shield and empower), your brands never wear off.

Is Essence Worm + Wrath better than using a Warlords Mark on Hit Elder ring + Mark of the Shaper? Using Orb of Storms to proc Warlords Mark seems like it could be annoying while playing this build. You could then fit in a Shield Charge + Fortify + Faster Attacks or something else instead. Would the loss of Wrath heavily outweigh the constant Warlords and spell damage from Mark of the Shaper?

Hey I spoke with few people and read online that if you use the inpulsa chest - it will stop your brands from jumping to the next mob due to the previous mob exploding from inpulsa. Please confirm. I was advised to go with Loreweave instead.

That's the whloe point bro, if Cast When Damage Taken activates Righteous Fire you'll die. Vaal Righteous Fire is there only to be supported by Increased Duration.

Once an enemy is cursed they become cursed for a duration. They will be marked with the mark of the curse. When that mark goes away, you would have to curse them once again to have them be cursed.

3 questions I don't understand: 1) Why hypothermia? 2) Inpulsa says "with attack skills" and this build is "spell" based, not attack. 3) Why that ring? You don't seem to have mana issues...

1) 39% more damage is a multiplicative multiplier vs chilled (from conflux) targets. Very large damage boost plus change to freeze. 2) Impulsa doesn't say attack skills, not sure what you're looking at. pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Inpulsa%27s_Broken_Heart 3) This is a Mind Over Matter build, mana is used to absorb 30% of damage you take. More mana provides more protection, reservering mana with Wrath would lower your available mana pool significantly.
