Nice guide, I think lots of people are tryna figure out how delve crafting works and it really helps the community out for you to put a guide like this out. A few things I have learned from my experience delve crafting. 1) Poedb is good for telling you what mods you cut out, it is not good however for telling u the likelihood of a mod rolling. I learnt this the hard way when I wasted a couple of exalts prioritizing fire + Phys to get "dmg taken as fire" on an elder chest. Poedb said it was most likely(deep blue) with scorched+jagged+pristine and 20 or so tries in it only rolled once. I have had much better luck getting the mod simply going pristine+jagged. The same applies for the cold version on shaped body armors. Better off going pristine+jagged and having a chance at life mods plus cold or lightning(dmg taken as). 2) Sanctifieds are hardly worth it. At 15c or so a pop, u are paying twice or more of the cost to get essentially a double roll chance. Unless you are stacking 3-4 socket resonators with really expensive fossils, I'd stay away from Sanctifieds. 3) Cutting out mods is not always a good thing. Particularly for basic life based crafts. It's easy to make the mistake of cutting out mods to get as high of a chance at life mods as possible, but life mod crafting usually wants resists to roll as well and most of the applicable fossils cut out 1 or more of the resists, so most often just spamming 1 socket pristines will get you the best chances of rolling life mods + resists. Finally, my rule is to always use as few fossils as possible to achieve the mods you want. Want life rolls + resists, just go pristine. Want life rolls + dmg taken conversion, just go pristine + jagged. No need to add scorched or frigid for a "higher chance" of getting the damage taken stats to roll. It's inefficient and doubles/triples the cost. Just my 2 cents, having crafted multiple armours worth in excess of 10ex each.

Yes, it's the same thing as using a chaos. It rerolls the item but you can always recraft

Great guide! I've been doing a fair amount of fossil crafting, and now I feel like I've been a bit wasteful. This will definitely help me out on rolling that iLv 85 coronal maul I'm working on. Oh, quick question about Enchanted Fossils; can you use them to get uber lab enchants without having completed uber lab first? Fooling around with rolling a shaper helmet, but haven't had quite enough enchanted fossils to get a good range of data on the matter.

I've been farming delves a lot, and you really just need 1 or 2 tabs for fossils AND resonators. I actually have 3 NORMAL, not quad, tabs for resonators (1, 2, 3 sockets), but I really could just use 1 and have a second one for fossils. Ridiculous that you think you need multiple quad tabs to fossil craft. Stop hoarding or spend a tiny bit of money on this incredible game that we get for free.

You don't need a quad tab full of resonators to craft. If you want to craft for hours, sure. But if you just use your fossils/resonators as soon as you find the combinations you want, you don't have to stockpile anything.

GGG needs to hurry up with a fossil and resonator crafting tab if delve is going core. Currently, I have 2 characters into 80 and very low delve levels yet have collected 8 tabs of fossils and resonators. Long term, this translates into either aggressively crafting or having to reserve dozens of tabs to the items.

Cannot roll x mods are for Exalting. Prefixes/Suffixes cannot be changed on the other hand will work with fossils. That's real meta-crafting though as it's 2Ex per try.

I just started Poe recently, anyone tell me how to check your actual DPS. I know my totem does certain amount of damage but then I read that I should be doing 100 to 200 k DPS and I don't see how.

Use Path of Building - it can count your flasks effect, damage with aliments and much more. DPS tooltips in PoE itself has no much meaning.

I got a +3bow but has pretty bad suffixes. Do i need to restart? or can i roll new suffixes without losing my +3? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

It depends. I think that if you have a suffix open, then you can craft "prefixes cannot be changed" (which is a suffix), and then you scour. Then you can exalt again. If you have 3 suffixes, you're kind of screwed. Your only option as far as I know would be to use an annul. If you have 3 prefixes, then you have a 50/50 percent chance to annul a suffix and be able to use "prefixes cannot be changed". Or you could hit a prefix that doesnt matter, and then you can annul again. You have to judge yourself if the whole thing is worth it.

Thanks for the guide! Really helpfull. The problem I have with this website(poedb) is that it does not always show all the mods that are available. For example, when I search for an armor based helmet wich I want to craft for my RF build. I look for concentrated effect(elder prefix), burning damage support(elder suffix) and some life(normal prefix). But the burning damage support(elder suffix) does not show up on this website. Only burning damage from vaaling it, but thats not what I want. So I recommend to also use poeaffix.net to double check all the available mods. Sadly that website does not have the fossil system poedb has. Cheers

It's included as a single mod, listed as Immolate. However, the gem that supports it can be either Immolate OR Burning Damage. It's just that it can't get both.

The best use for alchemical resonators is throwing Primitive (1S) Resonators crammed with a total shit tier fossil I have too many of (read: Abberant, Metallic) for alchs maps.

Ashtarte Or qualitying some high tier maps. Prefect fossils are easy to farm and you can throw them on your t14+ maps to save chisels and get some bonus quality.

it's a craft league just as bestiary was with another clunky mechanic (bestiary had nets this have flares, that works maybe a bit better than bestiary worked). in terms of crafting it's ez pz to craft shit (i dont mind farming for fossils and resonators). i get it that darkness should be intimidating and it sometimes is but not due to degen but bcuz of the fact that you cannot deal any dmg to monsters in darkness this is dumb why is that a thing, i would approve if it was "you cannot deal dmg to mobs if you are in darkness" but why mobs are immune to dmg if u are standing in light - give them insane regen in darkness or 90% dmg reduction but ffs giving them immunity is dumb also if u wanna do it this way then maybe add line that represent where darkness begins cuz visuals do not match with game code and i could still stand in light from cart and it counts as darkness for some reason, last thing - u could have used light radius cmon u rly fucked up on this, thats a dead stat that could have been usefull again. overall i like this league its ok (as long as u close eyes sometimes xD ) i dont think it will be in base game tho

Sanctieified Fossil is kinda overrated. If I understand correctly, it works like a divine, it doesn't increase chance for higher tier. And only top items needs divining them, so it's useful for pretty much only people who go for absolutely insane items and invest tons of currency.
