It's funnier when you realise D4 lined up their expansion announcement with PoE to try and steal the hype away and all it's done it show their incompetence. These developers are so up their own arse they spend 1 hour 30 minutes, patting themselves on the back and talking about having ideas, emotions, family, hard work, dedication, allocating less than 6 total minutes of screen time for gameplay or showcasing the expansion.

i love how they always implement some gam-design/ mechanics from other popular archetypes. like: 1. delve (endless mode going as deep into a mine as you can, limit testing - if you think about it, if you ONLY had delve (would start in mines as HO xd) this would still be a full game people would pay 60$ for. 2. blight (basically an homage to tower defense games, implemented into an ARPG) 3. simulacrum (delirium) has some arena/survivors like waves type of gameplay 4. sanctum ( roguelike genre) 5. heist (being able to equip your own guys and plan heists etc. idk a specific genre name for this but it feels like one) with permanent progress throughout the league (leveling the guys etc.) 6. now we get this settlers thing where you get a town you can gradually upgrade and profit from the more you upgrade it. i have played some other roguelikes that had such a feature (aka go back to town after your run, buy no buildings and settle new encountered NPCs) etc. etc. they are all fun "Minigames" or "popular genre" from other games, IMO well implemented into this whole ARPG context. and they are all optional (in softcore at least :D in SSF welp) as well as somewhat synergistic. cant be any better.

it will be hard to top affliction for me xd (i loved that abyss abuse and i never had so much fun dropping stuff and getting this much currency) + it was rather simple and concentrated on mapping, which is one of my most fav mechanics, little clicking (besides the loot, but stricter lootfilter did the job), etc. i loved it. only thing i felt was missing is that in 1300+ 4-6k whisp maps not a single mirror dropped q.q (still havent had any and i thought THIS would be the league xd).

Bleed is better. Melee is better. Rage is utterly ruined. Changes to Duelist have fundamentally damaged his identity. Retaliation is them trying to force PoE2 concepts into PoE1 and could really be the start of them fucking it up for everyone. Dunno about you, but automation of build aspects of fun to me, to make a build that works by itself. Retaliation in place of counterattacks is a bad precedent. They also ruined Call To Arms while overhauling warcries, and made Battlemage Cry suck in general. They've done a lot of good, but a lot of it is really bad, and a lot more is change just for the sake of change. Just like Archnemesis mod changes, I already see a huge amount of this being removed or reset entirely. The Rage changes are unforgivable.

Well, Chris said last year that development of PoE2 is almost done, and they will be dedicating people to work on PoE1 again, before it was literally sustained by around 10 people. Took them a while, but effects are jaw-dropping. It's a testament to management skills of Chris and everyone else in GGG, that's a company I can wholeheartedly support.

Да и количество ботов, которые раздувают инфляцию в игре просто зашкаливает. А за счет введения новой валюты (золота), то если не играешь, то и торговать с другими игроками не сможешь!! Гениально! Обожаю ребят из GGG и Криса Уилсона в частности!!))

as someone whose never played this game this looks so cool but at the same time I have no idea where to begin. It’s so detailed and so many options for a new player it’s like uhhhhh idk if I can get into this or feel like maybe I should just wait for exile 2. I mainly play fighting games for that reason you can kind of log on and rank up or win/lose or do an hour here and there. This seems like committing to a masters degree or something. Your game looks amazing and I could see myself getting lost in it which is both good and bad my concern is getting so invested in exile 1 and exile 2 comes around…

Most people get into a league, play a lot for a certain amount of times then stop til the next league they want to hop in. I know people that play 2 weeks, some a month and some the whole 3 months. You often see people skipping leagues and play one every 6 months or so. Its the type of game you play high amount of hours in a short time then you are done for awhile. I personally choose the leagues I play depending on how much free time I have at this moment. You don't need to know everything to play, nobody can know everything about this game, there is simply too much. You simply play and absorb information at your own pace and when you need it.
