This is some extremely powerful stuff. Its awesome they can do this for them. I'm an ex-criminal and have done some time. Spirituality saved my life! Thank goodness it found me at a young age.

I used to be a homeless suicidal drug addicted murdering gay prostitute that was kidnapped for sx trafficking, so from age 6-50, I had 4 multiple personality disorders, I lived in the ghetto with Gangs contantly killing eachother. I was in prison for 19 years. On 8/10/2017 Jesus completely healed my mind, body, soul and spitit in just 1 day. I found out it only takes 1 Day to LIsten to the NT Bible. The Truth broke every chain! Since then I live a very quite life, content and blessed, bec all I do in my free time, is I've read my Bible from cover to cover every single month for the last 6 years. The SHU would be affective if they could all listen to the NT Bible 24/7. I no longer want anything that the world has to offer. After I bought a little old house and finally felt settled in, I went on a mission trip in Brazil, and all I wanted to do was move there with only a backpack full of survival gear. Simply catch a fish, puck fruits and vegitables that grow wild, bathe in the river, and read and sleep in a hammock, and have a tarp for when it rains.. Sounds like Paradise 🎉 Only Love & The TRUTH can set us free. Once I LET Jesus heal me, it's now like I'm telling someone else's story, because All I know now is Love joy peace patients kindness goodness faithfulness gentleness and self control, Gal 6:22. Only Jesus can bring us from the end of the line which is where I was... to the very front. Once we stop looking at our past mistakes, regrets, and various lack, we can walk in confidence with our heads held high, bec of who we are in Christ. HE chooses the foolish things/people of this world to confound the wise/proud. ~ I wish I knew my mother's story before she died, I have been able to forgive her 100% since finding out about her secret past. Hurt people, hurt people.

While watching the film I got a feeling that people speaking there, were philosophers. one of the advantages of this place is that prison forces people to understand the meaning of life.

Thank you so much for this. This is wonderful work and this short made my eyes well up. For anyone interested in more films along these lines, check out "The Dhamma Brothers", about meditation being taught in Donaldson Maximum security prison in Alabama (and is streaming on Netflix), and "Doing Time, Doing Vipassana", which is about meditation being taught in Indian prisons (available on youtube). Both are very powerful and inspiring.

"People, even more than things, have to be restored, renewed, revived, reclaimed, and redeemed; never throw out anyone." ~ Audrey Hepburn "True power is living the realization that you are your own healer, hero, and leader. It is, when you share your truth with compassion and peace. Your power grows when you make progress in your own freedom and wisdom. Those who are truly powerful, do not harm themselves or others; instead, they use their energy to enrich all they know with love." ~ Yung Pueblo "When we feel anger, irritation, or indignation arising in us, we pause. We stop and come back to our breathing straight away. We do not say or do anything when we are inhabited by this kind of energy, so we don’t escalate the conflict. We wait until we’re calm again. Being able to pause is the greatest gift. It gives us the opportunity to bring more love and compassion into the world rather than more anger and suffering." ~ Thich Nhat Hanh "Between stimulus and response there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom." ~ Viktor Frankl "Much of my confusion and sadness came from being disconnected from myself. The greatest journey I have taken so far is the one where I ended the alienation between me and all that I am; the one where I connected my light and my darkness, where I united what I wanted to know, with what I did not want to face. Only through this union and truthfulness did I begin to feel at home within my own being." ~ Yung Pueblo "With awareness, comes attunement. With attunement, comes assimilation. With assimilation, comes acclimation." ~ Paul Jung "The path is paved with consistent, conscious mental and spiritual alertness and the gradual growth of goodness in our heart and clarity in our mind. We are awake. If we keep trying to understand, we will understand. If we keep telling ourselves that we are loved by Life and if we keep looking for evidence of that love, we will find it." ~ Donna Goddard "Life is a process. We are a process. The universe is a process." ~ Anne Wilson Schaef "We must know who we are and where we are." "There is so much more." "Put your efforts towards the things in life that enhance your highest self." "Spiritual principles, if true, are true for everyone. That is the yardstick that validates their authenticity. Authentic spiritual ideas also have the universal power to heal. Healing is the building block of both individual and collective spiritual evolution." ~ Donna Goddard "As within, so without: self-care = other-care; self-understanding = other-understandng; self-growth = outer-growth; self-harmony = outer-harmony. Divine & boundless is the journey of the self. In deed, and indeed, self-care is a gift, unwrapped & boundless." ~ Paul Jung
