The path of pain offers the most difficult platforming that Hollow Knight has to offer. It is a fun challenge that will test many players skills.
If you need help finding the path of pain or completing the path of pain this video will help you out. I will walk you through each and every jump to guide you through the path of pain. It is not going to be easy but knowing what you need to do every step of the way will help.

Hiveblood actually has a secret use for the white palace/path of pain: you gets you to take 10 seconds to breathe instead of repeatedly throwing yourself at the spikes and getting frustrated

I feel like Hivevlood is so underrated. Like it’s not always the most useful during really quick boss fights if you’re constantly taking damage, but if you’re having difficulty with platforming or can at least avoid taking damage long enough for the mask to replenish itself, it’s incredibly useful and allows you to focus more on platforming/dodging than worrying about when you’ll be able to heal next.

I am currently playing the last section as I type this, and I truly understand why this is called the path of pain. The physical pain felt from your gut wrenching as you fail whilst catching a glimpse of the end. The emotional pain felt from this game constantly beating you down as you try to find the will to keep going. Lastly, the psychological pain that will eventually lead to permanent scars left in the mind; scars that will constantly remind you of torment and suffering felt from this punishment. Started Hollow Knight about a week ago and the path of pain has been the biggest challenge yet, took me around 1 and a half hours to beat it and this walkthrough helped more than it should have. Thank you Relyea :)

This helped me a lot. I personally used Hiveblood, grubsong, mark of pride, and long nail. Which gave me lots of leeway on timing because the nail is so big. This took me at least 4 hours (including breaks which after I took a break I was able to do the first section almost first try). The first section, the part at 9:05, and the section at 12:43 took me by far the longest. I had to look up another tutorial for the part on the last section so I could get the timing correct to go under the sawblade. Also I suggest using DDark on the guys at the end when they're close together or just spamming spells cause if they're dead you can't die.

another really good charm combo for this is deep focus + grubsong + grubberfly’s elegy. you get 50 soul for every two hits you take, and only need 33 to heal those two hits, so you have unlimited healing as long as you heal every two hits. it’s more notches than hiveblood but it’s a lot faster

Got to the section at 09:00, died 12 times right at the saw pogo(09:44) and 50 more times getting there each time aaaaaaaaaand i quit... I hate that saw pogo with a burning passion. Gonna try again after some sleep. I wouldn't even get a third of the way through without this vid, i'm so glad i found it.

Dear God I finally just completed it. Every room was no problem whatsoever, except that last room. That last one took about 4 times as long to complete as the others. I feel like my brain has melted and my fingers are broken. Edit: your videos have helped me so much in this game I decided to subscribe. This guide helped me complete Path of Pain. My hardest segments were the first and final segments. While I'm glad I managed to complete Path of Pain, I don't think I'll ever do it again.

Took me almost 10 hours to complete this for the first time. Second time only took 10 min and it gets easier each time after. That said here are a few things I did differently from this video that made my run a bit easier. 5:26 you don't have to down pogo the moving blade, just drop down and dash beneath the blade then double jump. 6:15 you don't have to wait for the blade, just jump up down pogo on the spikes than immediately dash 8:18 line yourself with the rail of the top blade with crystal heart then wait for it to go far enough. Once the blade is far enough let go and fly towards the blade but stop midair before hitting the blade, jump up and down pogo on the blade, dash then double jump to get to the other side. Much easier since you only have to deal with one blade. 10:40 just hug the wall with crystal heart just above the knobby decoration. Once the first blade is all the way down, let go and you will be able to fly pass all the obstacles but stop right when you get into the opening of the tunnel or else you will hit the blade.
