Not sure if you figured it out or not yet (halfway through video at this point), but on Gondwa branches are typically found underneath dead or dying trees (brown leaves). Took me a little while to figure that out, but it made the branches quests much easier once I did.

That debuff has gotten me killed 5 times. Especially at tyrant's gorge. I was new, and didn't know how to get to a home cave, I'd get debuffs, and run down and killed. I think your suggestion is a pretty good one.

You should just do a fully aquatic build for spino it makes it the undisputed Apex in the water and quite frankly it already sucks on land so you should just further enhance its main strength

It's important to keep the tail attack, especially for in water combat. Streamlined hide is fine since it decreases your defense only slightly

The bird at the beginning of this video is why birds are the only thing I KOS no matter size...no matter what dino I'm on. Although I am rather proud of the one I slapped out of the sky with a jumping kentro tail swipe wish I would have recorded that one lol.

Also I kinda hate that people almost always just focus on BOB or the isle (even if the isle is my favorite dino game). Hey krawll the lag you experienced in the water is a glitch all you have to do to make it go away is put your dinosaur to sleep and then get back up again it should go away after that

This video has been out a while so you may have already learned about it, but I didn't see anyone else mention it. The home cave camping they were actually trying to fix was people sitting in front of or near home caves to kill unsuspecting people as soon as they come out of the home cave or people trying to go in. It was also why you were able to change perks and abilities outside of home caves at the time.

Precise movement turns on automatically when you swim, so when you "turn on" precise in the water, you're actually taking it off 😅

I think the home cave debuff is pretty much fine as it is. I agree with removing all missions from within range of the home cave, but other than that at the end of the day no one should be within range of the cave long enough for it to activate. You should be either going straight to the cave or leaving the area and going about your business. The only problem if they removed the missions would then be that some of the caves are hard to get to if you don’t already know where the entrance is.

When I was growing my spino the walk speed was so slow that I would get the cave debuff from just leaving the cave when I logged in and it was infuriating, glad I'm not the only one who wants this changed/reworked/removed

For the most part birds a great, it's the players that make them annoying, couse the flier spices is a scavenger or mainly fish eating carvicovore, witch its more of a tactile use then an attacker couse once you get to a adol you'll be able to 2 bite adult fliers, couse it had plenty spinos kill me, I'm more of a friendly player so I grow more then I pvp, so I try not to be an annoying pecker. But if I see unfairness or herbs attacking Carnos unprovoked I'll fly in and help but everyone's choices are at fault for why others hate someone else main.

I do the same thing lol. I am a Thalass player and I mostly stay away from fights (Im terrible at combat in general). I also become the eye in the sky if I'm in a group. I have came across some kos flyers that will follow behind me and I could not shake them off as well as being spammed the cackling laugh when I'm hiding from. Soooo I definitely don't blame people for hating the bird.

I use the water as travel roads with my spino. With the streamline and paddle on it takes minutes to get around swimming. Crocks cant catch you either.

i was caught by this debuff as a juvi sarco over at the home cave by whistling columns i had been hit by it before i entered it and afte ri had exited an adult struthy attacked me as i was trying to get to the water he almost killed me but i made it, i was very lucky to have made it, i knew the Struthy was camping the cave because i saw him continuously run 30 meters away and back to see if someone was there

I'll admit my first experience with the birds was not a pleasant one but when i look back and pay attention to the damage that bird was doing to me, even as a early Juvi... i think i could've taken him, i just didn't know it. For the rest of my time on the Spino, all the way to adult, the birds didn't bother me nearly as much. They're fairly fragile so they can't afford to piss off anything big.

Totally agree with u on the hc problem, am trying to lvl up a sarco at moment, was at white cliffs just logged in left cave and needed water, went up ramp to side of it to a fresh water pond had drink saw some big dinos coming the other way turned to go back down from where I came, and halfway down (because the sarco on land is slow and stam runs out fast) slowed to a snails pace, luckily got in the ocean just before they got to me as everyone seem to hate sarcos at moment, well so it seems in chat

I've only had the game a few weeks and it's all been spent on Gondwa with aquatic dinos, I honestly love hunting in the water, I love being able to attack from crazy angles especially since players aren't used to it

I the intro 1 minute 50 seconds in I need to learn that pivot turn to get something that's behind me. I know it's the precise movement but it's still hard for me to pull off. I play rex

Yes that is not always easy to do because when you're fighting something that is smaller than you, they are faster than you and some of them can effectively stay behind you while you turn. It really depends on who you're fighting and how experienced they are. Sometimes you can throw them off by switching directions half way into it because they are following your motion in one direction and then you break it randomly and catch them in the opposite direction.

I wish they would change the debuff. Or make the debuffed timed… like if you stay for over 5 minutes you lose 15% damage dealt. Over 7 1/2 minutes dropped to 30% or 50%. Or make it drop 10% every minute after 5 minutes. Something got to change with it. Even knowing it, sometimes questing leads you that way. At least at 15% you could still have a chance if you played carefully.

Lol ! Can't blame you, it was a very slow growth but , in Gondwa the rivers help you get around a lot more quickly. I wanted nothing to do with the Spino back when Panjura was the only map but Gondwa made the experience of growing a Spino a lot more enjoyable.

It's a difficult question to answer. I've been posting videos on this channel since 2008 but only as a hobby and my old videos are garbage compared to what i can do now. The home cave debuff wasn't thought out carefully enough. It is a form of entrapment as I too more than a couple times got nailed with it while legitimately questing. Also, they should change the time in the area before it kicks in depending on the species. With the faster dino's it's nothing, no big deal. But when I was growing my spino I got nailed for just trying to get to the home cave to logout and that's BS. The slow dino's need more time to get there as well as get out.

Yeah it took me a bit to figure it out but i have to admit i'm kinda glad it's always on in the water. Sometimes pressing the precise movement key doesn't register and i waste several good seconds trying to get it to work so if it's always on then this doesn't happen !

It varies, some days are better than others but on average it's between 14 hours to 18 hours. But that's only because i focus on getting content over growing fast. If i wanted to grow fast, i could probably do it in 10 hours !

In my opinion the HC debuff is fine. I personally don’t have a problem with it since I know the distance I need to be from it to get the debuff. Second, it takes maybe 2 minutes to get the debuff, why would anyone be around the HC for that long anyway. The option to run back inside and wait out a predator isn’t that great since not everyone can sit on a game and wait for it to be clear. I agree with taking away the quests around the HC to help but if they take away the main thing stopping adult Dino’s from sitting around the HC ambushing new and baby players it’s right back to where we came from. Yes it’s a Dino game and dying is part of it but that has nothing to do with the HC aspect. We had the issue where your Dino spawns in and you can’t protect yourself until your screen loads, take away the debuff nothing is going to hinder that from happening again.

I respect your opinions. However i don't understand the part where your dino spawns in and you can't protect yourself. If you spawn inside your homecave you're safe so if you're spawning in close enough to a cave for others to be affected by the debuff, you should have been inside the cave when you spawned in. If you're spawning in anywhere else on the map, away from caves, then this argument of yours doesn't apply. I have to admit i'm a little confused as to what you meant !

When you leave your HC from inside, there was a problem with people getting killed before their screen could load in completely. Your Dino would/will already be outside the HC getting attacked and by the time your screen loads in your either dead or close to dead. They have done a good job with decreasing the time spent for a device to load up but it still happens a lot.

Your 100% right about hc debuff. i was full adult spino and i laid down to get spamina and a cerato killed me like in 6 bites and i was a fucking adult spino full health

LOL ! Ok i admit during that fight i think i used the scratch attack twice while running back in the water but that's not the ones i'm taking about hahaha ! Those were fails cuz i sometimes press the wrong key when trying to use the tail attack, i don't know why, it just happens haha! Just brain farts is all ! ;-) I used the scratch attack multiple times while rushing at him from the water and it didn't work. I think it's because the Spino's arms are facing towards the ground so anything that is too big to fit under him doesn't get hit by it.

Hard disagree on removing the home cave debuff honestly, you shouldn't be close enough long enough for it to activate, the only thing I agree with is removing quests close to it to dissuade people from getting close enough long enough

Well, personally, when considering that the home cave gives a rested bonus, i think the extra reward should represent added risk. The threat of other players is intended to be real in this game so i don't understand why it shouldn't be near home caves. Now i'm not defending home cave campers from wanting to be one, i just think it would make it easier for myself to make content if i could go hunting home cave campers lol. That being said, i think there is a MUCH BETTER solution to make home cave accessible without the debuff. They should add the ability to teleport to the nearest home cave for Juvi's and Adolescents, once per hour, meaning there would be a cooldown of one hour between teleports. The teleport ability should NOT work if carrying a trophy because that would remove the risk VS reward aspect of it. So once per hour you have easy access to home caves, then the rest of the time if you want to go to one, you HAVE to walk to it and walk in the front door. This would be so much better than this stupid debuff. I hate it with passion.

I love the homecave debuff bcause adult sit in place and Block homecaves for other adult and even for junger or smaller Dinos and kill them without it especially when they hold trophys to bring in just to bully them...its not from interesting if there are quest items, food or something Else in the Area These guys just Camp homecaves to fuck up no matter what and iam glad the debuff exists ! I have homecave Camping traumatas from grasslandcrater and little Brook meadow on panjura, now its peacefullier at this places thanks the debuff.

I thought about another solution to remove the homecave debuff. I think there should simply be a "instant travel" to home cave but with a timer and a cooldown. Maybe once every hour we could use a special ability that teleports you into the closest home cave but then it gets into a cooldown. Then if you want to go back again after using the ability, you have to walk there normally. this way there would be no need for the debuff and we would be able to quest there normally without fear of getting debuffed.
