My Theory is that the Koa'ki Meiru artworks are just re-purposed artwork of never realized cards, if you look closely you will see they all have outlines (or thunder etc.) around them because they have been pasted on to a orange background from other art, the Symbol has been added as an after-thought to combine the seemingly unrelated creatures (from undead cows to drill transformers and wind geenies), IMO This explains the discrepancy between their design's, i remember that as a kid i would think about how non-sensical the archeotype was.

I always thought they were monsters from other archetypes that had the iron core... fused with them, a lot of them look like they fit in with other archetypes and it would be a neat concept. Like failed experiments that were released back into the wild

@@angelj3928 That is exactly what happened IIRC. Kozaky and a few others experimented on the Iron cores they found, IIRC, and fused them into monsters they took captive to try and create controllable servants.

Ice is the most sinful of them... his "chest" at first looks like back muscles until you see the chest his arms make it look like he's facing away from you but his icicle spear is backwards. Then you see his knees and feet, which are undeniably facing towards you So now we've determined by his feet that he's facing towards you You then look at his shield arm, his elbow is facing you His spear arm's elbow shouldn't bend like that at all If you look below his chest to his waist you then notice "Wait those are back muscles, what the fuck" Now look at his hands. human thumbs when your hands face down point inwards. His spear hand, I can't spot the thumb, when from either way he faces it should be plainly visible. On his shield hand his hand is upside down, so his thumb can be easily seen pointing as if he were looking away from you and was holding his shield with an upside down hand. His entire torso and arms along with his shield hand look like he was meant to be facing away from you Then it looks like someone came along and didnt see it, so they added pecs to what was meant to be his back, and drew a hand with a spear in it(pointing backwards as if it was pointing towards you) drew his legs and then submitted this thing, which then never went through any form of quality control before being released

Koa'ki Mieru Tornado is inspired by the Fuujin (aka Wind God) in Japanese mythology. The "pillow bag" he carries around is suppose to contain powerful wind, which can creates storms and hurricanes

Koa’ki Meru, besides being literally impossible to search for in Duel Links, are artificial life forms powered by Cores (Iron and Diamond) that die when they run out of energy. Some are very basic, especially the Rock and Machine monsters, while others (Rook Lord, Maximus, etc.) are very intricate.

Sheesh, Koa'ki Meirus really don't have a very consistent aesthetic theme. Supposedly, they're the 4 basic alchemic elements designed to combat Light and Dark. But they have a Devil man, a zombie, a rock, a wall, some elementals, some robot-looking things, a plant lady- they're all over the place, it looks like a hodge-podge of multiple different archetypes.
