You probably should have mentioned that heavy armor comes with a padded armor undercoat. This lets you keep the benefit of your runes while sleeping or otherwise unable to wear heavy armor.

There’s probably a couple other armours that would also have a gambeson or the like incorporated into it the same way but I don’t have the armour list in front of me to try and work that out based on what historical stuff I’ve watched on KZbin.

Oh I love that -- Sleeping in Armor gives Fatigue -- Rule! When I GMed in The Dark Eye the players always slept with their armor on haha.

I had a player who always insisted in sleeping in plate armor... even when not adventuring "just in case". Drove me nuts.

@@HowItsPlayed I would have just kept increasing the fatigued condition. You are now fatigued 10, you have a -10 to your AC and reflex saves.

I'm begging someone to do an episode on Endumberance because it seems to me that most PFS characters are absolutely cheating regarding their carried encumberance. With 16 strength I'm encumbered at 8! I can't carry basic gear and medium armor without hitting 8! And 16 is freakin strong!

There is, but you need to get armor specialization. Only champion and fighter get it natively, at levels 7 and 11 respectively. You can also get it from the sentinel archetype at level 6.

No. Burning Jet doesn't interact with your Speed, it just makes you stride 40+. If it said "Your Speed becomes 40", then it would.

I'm still a little fuzzy on how level effects Armor class? Is it that as you level up your expertise goes up and that confers a proficiency bonus? I would appreciate if somebody could give me specific examples of when leveling up could help Armor class and when it could not. Thank you

New pf2 dm here, but I'll try to answer. Mechanically, anything you are trained (or expert, master, legendary) in gets a flat number for the training rank (2,4,6,8) plus your level. So a fighter at lv1 gets +3 (2 from trained and 1 from level) to any armor he wears. Lv 2 he would get +4 (2 trained and 2 level), etc. Same scaling applies to skill checks and weapon attacks. Flavorfully, I would reason it as you becoming a better warrior so you learn how to better move in armor so it naturally means a seasoned fighter will dodge better in an armor than a novice.

If you meet the Strength requirement then the speed penalty is reduced by 5-feet.

I wish the term chain mail had never been adopted by gamers. It is a shame Gary Gygax used used victorian books on armor and weapons. Historical armor was mail. Not chain, banded, studed or any other type of mail that was based on medieval embroidery. It hurts to hear it call just chain. Sorry just a pet peeve.

I found the video disappointingly shallow. It's so short that the summary was not even necessary. You could've talked about shields and their usage, about how magic armor works, and about other ways you can improve your AC (or be penalized) besides the base equipment.
