I appreciate that you made a build that kept the role play in mind instead of just pure min/maxing characters. The versatility of the Pathfinder system, this build included, shows that as long as you understand how everything works and synergizes, you can take a character concept and still make them viable. I also appreciate and learned a lot from your explanations such as being able to gain extra AC from casting on your shield! Thank you for your videos!

I am a fan of this, my angel playthrough that I am on now is is Warpriest(shieldbearer) and a mutation fighter that is a scimitar and board user. I have been a sucker for the Warpriest class in WoTR and shieldbearer starting with shield bash is a pretty nice bonus. Been enjoying your content, looking forward to more!

If you want to tank Just go nature oracle and get whispers of nature. Dump dexterity. Pump charisma and strength and get a two handed weapon (preferably a falchion). Dip 1 level into scaled fist monk for more charisma to AC and crane style then dip 2 levels into paladin for divine grace and smite (take mythic smite later). You can even go half elf and start with 21 charisma if you wish. +5 charisma bonus gives +10 AC right from the second level. +4 comes from mage armor, +4 comes from shield (make Wolfij cast it on you with alchemy vivisectionist infusion) or use potions/scrolls. +2 Comes from Barkskin and +2 comes from shield of faith. Take Archmage Armor mythic feat for even more AC. Make Wolfij or Naneo make mage armor potions/scrolls for you. If you wish you can dip one level into Slayer Arcanist for free mage armor and it is a full BAB class. So with a total of 4 level dips (2 Pally, 1 Scaled Fist Monk, 1 Arcanist Slayer and 16 Seeker Oracle) you can have an insane dps/tank at the same time. You'll be missing lvl9 spells but they are not good anyway. Angel ones are much better. Also get powerless prophecy as curse for improved uncanny dodge which makes you unflankable. The staggered penalty can easily be removed by Seelah (with lay on hands mercy) or via boots item you'll encounter later in game. Add get battle mystery with second mystery mhytic ability. For improved critical and weapon focus. Also shake it off, combat reflexes, seize the moment are great two teamwork feats. Shake it off greatly improves survivability of your team. And seize the moment is an insane dps booster. Get ever ready mhytic feat to compensate for low dexterity penalizing attacks of opportunities.

Battle Oracle > any Cleric. Sword and Shield requires a significant stat and feat spread vs. STR based Oracle using a 2 handed.

I went with battle Oracle plus fire at level 20, so with Speed of Light you can insta cast Inferno, plus other things. Its insane 🤣🤣🤣 Edit: With the item that gives you fire spells, so you can cast Inferno at level 7.

I went with an Aasimar (Lawbringer) instead of a humy. I felt this race represented The Prophecy's Gabriel better than a human. But other than that your build is super strong. I'm blasting through the game on normal - something I couldn't do before. Even the game's NPCs are solid with your builds (got Seelah Heavy Mace & Board, Soseil Glaive-wielder, Nenio, Lann and a merc I made myself: Slayer (deliverer, lawful good, dual-wielding Claw of Jistka & rapier) replaced Woljif and just murders everything in sight with crits. Claw of Jistka does insane damage early on and rapier has insane crit chance, better than daggers). Gabriel and the Deliverer (Lucifer) make and insane tag team. 😂

Well you've done it. Got me hooked on P:WotR again. :P And for the first time ever I'm not a Lich lol. Got a holy army of Paladins, Clerics and Inquisitors (most of them are hired mercs, only Seelah and Ember are premade NPCs).

It was hilarious - first round of battle with him and he goes down like a heavy sack of [redacted]! Sweet. After his braggadocios speech it was amazingly funny seeing him knocked onto his arse. Hasn't happened again, mind. It was a lucky shot my the beta runthrough.

I find something like thiefling with bloodrager reformed fiend class probably the way to go here, with cleric or maybe shaman, it certainly fit the theme. Iomedae despise you and you are plaything for demons like Nocticula, beside in house of silken shadow when you meet Areelu she said very clearly that you have another side of you, one that is not awaken, one with rage and anger but you choose to hide it.

Personally on an Angel I prefer Piercing Rays and Solar Winds for my halo effects over, say, Burning Bright. But of course we all must remember: I think Halo is a pretty cool guy. eh kills demons and doesnt afraid of anything. Wall of Light - you're right but I did use it in the Ivory Sanctum against those trap-minotaurs. You know the ones. Those suckers were annoying to my party but getting them in the wall of light helped a lot on Core difficulty.

I went with an Oracle. But this build seems quite fun too. What I did also is that I changed Seelah into a Magus and kindof skipped using Sosiel or used him in rotation because I like to go 2 melee 4 ranged. And so Seelah my character plus Lann's pet are at front while the rest are blasting spells or arrows. Btw Lann gets a pet by being Zeal Archer 3/Sacred Huntsman 17. That's my build for him. Crazy 7 attack output per round with him if I add ki strike extra attack. He usually shreds everything before my group gets to do anything lol.

You know, I was thinking of doing something similar RP wise with angel path, though I was gonna go knife master/vivisectionist. Archer (Emiya) from Fate/Stay Night would fit the bill there. A tragic hero who sacrificed all to save as many as he could, yet was labeled as evil by the world. He is actively trying to erase his existence as well so there is another way to RP as him ;)

Wow, crazy performance at the top end. Any game play experience at the lower levels? I'm working on a slayer/vivi/trickster build right now and it's so far the easiest time I've had getting through chapter 2. I can't wait to see how the mythic stuff synergies with it.

I have experimented with S&B at low levels but never took an S&B character level 1-9. Seelah is the person I would do it with and I never want to let go of Marching Terror. I almost never roll my MC as a pure tank.

Disadvantage of doing Aasimar is you would lose one of the extra feats you get at level 1. If that doesn't bother you then I don't see a detriment because depending on the background you pick Aasimar might get a better attribute point spread.

Odd. I had zero issues getting Seelah to take Two Weapon Fighting with a belt to reach the required Dex. Even checked some older saves. Haven't tested it with a fresh playthrough yet tho.

This looks good, but I'm a little worried about the two weapon fighting stuff. I saw Imp. Two Weapon fighting was selectable, does it not actually work if your base dex is too low even fi its there? I feel like I might try something like this with a greatsword or glaive (rp purposes).

In this game if you take a feat then lose the pre-reqs, you still get to use the feat! I gave Sosiel a belt of dexterity to qualify him to take Precise Strike, then took the belt off afterward- and can confirm he still gets that 1d6 precision damage. (I know Samori said you can't do that anymore, but unless they changed that in the latest patch, I can confirm it still worked in 1.1.1 at least)

If you have a Dexterity of 14 and use a belt to bump it past 15, then you can take Two Weapon Fighting. The next time you take a feat however, the game won't recognize that you have TWF because your base Dexterity is not high enough for you to get it. Consequently ITWF would be unavailable even though you actually have the TWF feat. At least that's the way it worked before the patch. My Seelah S&B build got a bunch of comments from people letting me know they couldn't complete it due to this. Now for this build I should've reworded that section because originally I was going to leave Dexterity at 14 but then I decided to start it with 15. So technically you should be able to take TWF and then use a belt to give yourself ITWF, but you won't be able to take GTWF. Hope that makes sense.

I guess it's different for the TWF feats because they have pre-reqs that rely on other pre-reqs?

You can use a belt to qualify for a feat but the game won't recognize you as qualifying for the next feat. So you could pick up TWF with a belt but it won't let you pick up ITWF.

@@SlanderedGaming it did for me. Just needed a belt with more dex. I had 15 base dex which was enough for TWF, then had a +2 belt on and was able to pick ITWF which requires 17 dex. Same thing with GTWF and a +4 belt.
