The perks of being able to do it full time, was essentially a hobby at the time this was made

I’m curious how you find this after BG3? I’ve been in love with BG, and it’s my first real foray into this type of game, so I was a bit curious about PF. Do you have a predetermine character or do you create one as well? And how different, good/bad do you find the combat and game flow in comparison?
@gurogod859611 ай бұрын
@@eazybaby5094 you create your own character, and in my opinion with a lot more diversity. The combat is decent I wouldn't say AS good as baulder gate via the animations since it's lower budget, however it's still good you can also do real time combat with pausing or turn based.

Small correction, the first point you put into a skill only gives you a +4 if its a class skill (the green checkmark next to it). Backgrounds and certain class options (like kinetecists element choice) can add skills to be counted as class skills. Since you are using an inquisitor you have every skill as a class skill in the crpg, but other classes wont have that

I have 170 hours in Kingmaker, still I would watch every video about WotR :D I'm just hungry for more Pathfinder content, so thank you. And honestly, I still learn something new everytime I watch videos like this, the pathfinder system is so complex :D

This video helped me out a lot. I started Pathfinder: Wrath of the righteous last week after seeing it in the steam store and I'm in love, but was really struggling with me not knowing about anything, but now I feel like I actually know what is going on

Crippling strike (rogue advance talent) deals 2 points of strength damage on a successful sneak attack. In kingmaker, you could kill creatures with regeneration like trolls by simply reducing their strength down to 0.

Thanks for this video! I recently purchased this game from GOG. It was a great deal and so far I really enjoy the game. The number of classes is pretty overwhelming but your videos have been very helpful. So far I have played the prologue (normal difficulty) with a slayer and it has been great.
@Desca20013 жыл бұрын
Spell resistance is really only used in higher level or special enemies, it is like an extra layer of defence against spells and more like an evade chance that an AC. Most times, if a spell has to hit, it is handled as a "ranged touch attack". It uses the casters BAB + Dex-mod to hit Touch AC, because physical armour does not work. Because it is a ranged attack, casters that use these kind of spells (for example Scorching Ray) should have a good Dexterity and can profit from feats that effect ranged attacks, like Point-Blank Shot and Precise Shot.

Correct, that's why I called it out and put that message on screen

Perhaps it's just because I suck, but I find real time with pause much more difficult to manage fights rather than games that are turn based like BG3.

I am dungeons and dragons 5e player that wants to try this game. But it doesn’t really look turn based. It looks chaotic with a lot of things happening at the same time. do I literally have six seconds to make my move on my turn? Or do I have time to think? Am I controlling several characters at the same time?
@MortismalGaming2 жыл бұрын
There is a turn based option you can turn on. This video is also old, I'd check out my new players guide instead. This is still accurate theres just a lot more info in NPG

I understand how mele works, but when it comes to spells I just don't get it. I can take every magic penetration feat + mythic and the spells still won't penetrate shit. Also in some of your videos you said that enemies have pretty low will check saves, but my log is full of "will resist passed" whenever I try to hex, blind (?), fear etc. Reaction based(?) crowd control seems to be a bit more reliable even on tougher enemies. Like a huge demon who oneshoted all of my mele dudes in just a couple of rounds in Drezen castle was slipping on grese like an idiot and I just very tediously shot him to death. So long story short I want to use more CC and debuffs with my caster roster, but it often dosen't do anything. Maybe you have a tip or a video you could point me towards?

@@MortismalGaming How odd, I follow your Demon Slayer Ranger build and it was hell. Not only did she do insane damage to the Paladin companion, she straight up went for Camille afterwards and one-shotted her. My rolls were also really bad and I had to reload several times until I got some proper rolls.

So there seems to be some doubt in regards to the player becomes OP due to the Mythic Paths, i thought they are there because of the enemies you meet are equally strong so it will even out. But how much OP does the abilities you are given feel during the early progression? does it feel natural or do these abilities make you much stronger than the enemies so that you only breeze through them. granted i dont know what difficulty setting you are playing but generally speaking?
@MortismalGaming3 жыл бұрын
Mostly just on normal at the moment, and I'd say they certainly make you feel stronger when you get them but nothing insane, can't speak for later in the game though

Combat handles just like I remember Kingmaker working but army management seems to be something of a learning curve. Its like once you take Drezen, you see this massive map sprinkled with armies and forts, which honestly can be a bit overwhelming. This vid was helpful though as a reminder. @@MortismalGaming okay thanks! Are there any videos or guides out there explaining how the spellcasting works in combat? I know you touched on it briefly in this video, but when it comes to spellcasting and preparing spells does that just mean you can only 'equip' a set number of spells to use in combat? Like say a wizard knows x number of spells, by preparing spells does that mean he can only use x number of those spells in combat?
