Pathfinder WotR: Wildland Shaman - Tavern Defense (Solo Unfair)

How are you level 8 before the Tavern Defense? evene when I solo'd most of act 1 I wasnt even close to 8

I think on that run I soloed literally the whole act 1 before TD or at least most of it. Here is a file that lists all sources of XP in act 1: docs.google.com/document/d/1ufebI_h2ukGrhTfnYEcFPvJaMBnXj_sv/edit If you collect them all, you can be close to level 9 before TD.

After 700hrs I think im ready for a solo run, still havent played on unfair. not because of fights but just everything else (especially a full party) seems tedious. Azata would be a great mythic to remove exhaust and fatigue early. Im curious, how do you deal with all the more powerful debuffs? scrolls?

What debuffs in particular? I don't usually get debuffed because of decent saves or immunities (death ward 24/7, freedom of movement 24/7, delay poison 24/7 etc.). You can check this WotR page on PK wiki for some examples: pathfinderkingmaker.fandom.com/wiki/Bonuses_(WotR)#Immunities

@@Leonion6 I always have deathward and delay poison but get hit with random ability damage from certain spells (polar midnight is one) not sure why. I honestly use toybox to instant rest just because I play this game so much the resting animations feel like they take forever now lol. My eldritch scion azata is doing amazing right now and is why im thinking of doing a solo run, loremaster secrets are borderline broken (less since they took away the trickster feats lol)

@@bofad6074 , there are different kinds of debuffs that cause reduction of ability scores (see the article). The most common one is energy drain caused by negative energy and blocked by death ward and a whole bunch of other abilities. The second one is ability score damage (inflicted by polar midnight among other things) and can be blocked by ice/fiery/iron body. The rarest one is ability score drain caused by polar ray and only 2 mythics are immune to it.

Then I'm afraid you missed the fun times.( A shop in act 1 used to sell a bunch of high-level scrolls (like dragonkind, summon high-tier monsters etc.) which were very useful in act 1, especially when playing solo. But a few months ago the devs robbed the shop and only left a handful of low-level crap in it which either nerfed or invalidated a lot of solo builds (like my pure kineticist that now won't be able to survive without summoning scrolls).

Wow. It’s takes me an hour to beat it on Core and you made it look easy on unfair. Do you have unfair solo build guides?

I'm not actually particularly good at tavern defense, tbf. There are people who manage to do it without losing a single building or just 1-2 of them. Personally for me it's beyond imaginable, I stopped paying attention to the level of destruction (as long as there is at least 1 building standing, I'm good) long ago and my only aim is to win it. Just use crowd control spells like stinking cloud, web, grease etc to stop the advancement of enemies and polymorph any of your pets into a dragon using a scroll. Dragon gets pretty big stat bonuses and a lot of attacks, it makes the fight much easier. And focus on alchemists and demons. Cultists are just infinite cannon fodder.
