True, but getting the ending where all companions ascend and ever harder, where Areelu gets to ascend too is basically impossible without knowing exactly what you‘re doing. I managed to understand that I have to shoot the Demon Lords with the right weapon, that‘s about it.

I only came across this because it appeared in my recommended feed out of the blue, even though I searched for something like this since I saw Rimmy Downunder's video on the game (Which also got me to purchase it). It makes me so happy, but also sad seeing as this is only part 1 and it's been a year since then. 20:49 It's very much simplified, from glancing at my friend playing it it just seemed like an experience of "Who has a bigger army", Heroes is a lot different in that aspect because it focues heavily on minimising losses to not get fucked late game. To make that possible every Pole is force taught the importance of movement ranges, half damage ranges for archers and how to effectively kill the archers as fast as possible. Once that is done, you will be beaten up disciplinarily by the larger Pole for picking necropolis when it was explicitly mentioned that it is banned because it's busted.

You got some parts wrong. Not taking Wenduag or not doing the demon decision doesn't lock you out of any mythic paths. Even if you make no decisions for the demon mythic path you can still choose it at the end of Act2. All the other mythic paths are unlocked based on decisions you make in the game not based on choices in the prologue in fact choices in the prologue don't matter at all besides between Lann and Wenduag until you wake up in Defenders hearth.

I have a love hate relationship with Owlcats Pathfinder games. Love the jam packed content. Hate that most of it just combat. Love the overland maps. Hate the slow as molasses movement and ambushes on every corner mechanic. Love the character design. Hate the voice acting or the backstory. Love that they try to include other systems to spic up the tabletop. Hate that they do a bad job at it. Love the truckload of spells. Hate that most of it rendered useless by the midgame or even sooner. Love the amount of subclasses. Hate that many of the mechanics from the subclasses are stunted because of how game handles difficulty. Love the variety of biomes and map locations. Hate that particular dungeon on each game, you know the ones, the ones that make you tear your hair out in utter frustration. For all its many many many faults. Owlcat still gets a big thumbs up from me because in both their pathfinder games show great heart. Which is...very hard to explain or quantify. Also...BLOOD FOR GORUM!!!

I haven't played the two Pathfinder computer games yet, but I have them in my GOG list, waiting for winter. Can anyone tell me the purpose (if any) of romantic RP with the NPCs? In Skyrim they make 100 gold a day & hand you sandwiches. In Fallout 4 you can use the constructed nookie on synth Curie to grant yourself a temporary XP bonus. Is there anything similar which would make playing along with the grappling matches appealing to people who aren't 14?
@devalk_ Жыл бұрын
Yes they can do, Some change the outcomes of events and other can give buffs. Wenduag for instance grants the Mongrel's Blessing: Immunity to death effects, poison, and electricity. Whenever you land a hit in melee, the enemy must pass a Fortitude saving throw or suffer one permanent negative level I don't recall them doing anything in the first game however

It is absolutely unfair. To give a glimpse behind the curtain; I started off aiming for an evil leaning playthrough, But I ended up going down the Azata route and then getting invested in Ember To the point where Ember basically ended up redeeming me By that point Lann was already dead though, and Wenduag's redemption that takes place during her romance route fits well into the theme I'm going for. tl;dr Lann was a necessary sacrifice for everyone else's character development.

If I had to choose between Lann or Wenduag, it's Lann every time. On the demon playthrough where I kept Wenduag, I actually got annoyed by her hypocrisy and did the true Camellia romance instead. Even replaced Wenduag with corrupted Arueshalae in act 5 with the killing pace bow. But seriously, Wenduag is trash. Would kill her every time. If you take Wenduag, you have to ignore -The lying as early as the shield maze -The fact that she's a cannibal -The fact that she serves a demon, (and only changes sides out of pure opportunism) -The fact that she's killing or converting other mongrels into degenerate, demon-tainted monsters -The fact that she will betray you unless you make specific dialogue choices -The fact that she kills multiple other people when you take her to the surface (Dyra the mongrel, the Crusaders in the bar) -The fact that she's stupid and deluded enough to think she has a chance against the KC after they get feats like defeating Baphomet You have to be thinking with your wrong head to take her over Lann, and any good-aligned character that takes her cares more about their own self-satisfaction then justice for her victims. She's too evil for good characters, and too stupid-evil for any evil character with a shred of foresight Wendy doesn't deserve a happy ending. And don't even get me started on sparing Minagho. The lilitu that once trapped a man within a blessed fountain of healing waters, and lit a fire under the fountain. The man boiled alive in holy water that continued to heal him as fast as it scalded him, kept in undying agony for days on end. She kept the man’s subordinates prisoner and starving, and occasionally she would take a slice of his cooked flesh off of him, and tempt her ravenous prisoners with it. Minagho doesn't deserve any quarter, and even Sarenrae devout like Tristian tell you to smite her.
