Killing Floor 2 | UPGRADED 9MM ONLY! - This Doesn't Feel Right! (Upgrade System)

A lot of people told me... Go commando or swat and use the backup skill. I went for swat just because he has armor also. And I can confirm... these things are a tiny tiny bit OP.
Not sure if they will stay this way because the damage doesn't make sense, but maybe it will, who knows. The only counter or balance factor to these 9mm is the ammo.

Let's see: 9mm does 25 damage, and upgrades increase its base damage, so the bonus is multiplicative with perk skills rather than additive like they usually do. So for a fully upgraded 9mm, we get 25 * 2.5 * 2.1 = 131.25 damage for the 9mm if we use commando or swat... that is a bit fucking absurd XD

When the fully upgraded 9mm with the pistol skill does almost as much damage as the deagals fully upgraded. The t5 9mm does 61 damage, 127 with the Swat/commando skill. T5 Deagals do 135 I think. Pretty crazy. Also are you telling me that if you gave all your dosh to one player and they upgraded the pistols they could just buy extras and drop them for everyone to have T5 pistols? That seems super broken lol

I've been experimenting some alternative loadouts lately. Feel free to take a look at em. 1) Commando: Before the beta, SCAR-H and HMTech-401 AR consumes weight by 13/15 with 2 free weight slots. After the patch, I've fully upgraded them to T5, with all weights consumed 15/15 and both of these become incredibly powerful. 2) Sharpshooter: 1858 Revolver(+2/+3) and M99 AMR(Max upgraded); due to large ammo capacity and light (2kg), you could replace M14 EBR with 1858 for trash and medium zeds. Some people tend to use 9mm but I find this one pretty convenient. The only the downside is you have to reload frequently. 3) Gunslinger: HMTech-101 Pistol(Max upgraded) and SPX 464 Centerfire(Max upgraded), consuming somewhere 13/15 weights. The medic pistol have large ammo capacity and decent clip size. Once it's fully upgraded, it becomes more powerful than the dual M1911 w/o upgrade. 4) Field Medic(Solo): Hemogoblin(Max upgraded) + HMTech-201 SMG(Max upgraded). THIS HEMOGOBLIN IS NO JOKE. You could kill Scrake with 2 or 3 shots if I'm not mistaken and Fleshpounds with half of its clip. So yeah, in conclusion; try out the upgraded Hemogoblin first. You won't be dissapointed. ;)

That use crazy, commando needsome off-perk weapons. SHarpshooter dont you want to kill crawler with a firebug weapon. Gunslinger are you really that typ off medic. Field medic why not kill the bigzeds with more heavy weapons.

Don't really see an issue here. The pistols have a ridiculously small ammo pool and in order to get the most out of them, you need to spend 3,500 dosh. They also allow the 9mm some actual viability and hey, you can play it on the gunslinger and basically do a John Wick loadout of the 9mms, the 1911's and the Deagles as your top tier weapon.

Pathfinder Question did you play without recording with gunslinger and sharpshooter first to see how much damage they would do with those perks first or did you go straight into a video using swat. Because ten bucks says better used on sharpshooter and gunslinger.

A similar playstyle but with more ammo is the gun slinger and fully upgrade the 1911. Similar damage, more ammo, just a small mag. It is actually more effective damage wise due to the gunslinger bonus to damage. 9mm with the 85% perk does 42.25 damage without upgrade, twice that at level 5. 1911 does 50 damage base, twice that fullly upgraded plus perk damage add ons. Fun idea though. Might be more effective with the survivalist due to him just getting a global perk to all weapon damage.

i sometimes just go for a light weight build if i'm only playing on hard or suicidal. I just keep my dual m1911s and 9mms and upgrade them as far as it goes. Ammo costs are low and it's actually quite fun.

Imho, 9mm should be a backup weapon and the current 90 total ammo is to, pretty much, balance them as "main" pistol weapons from what Tripwire seems to be doing. They should've kept the old stats and ammo count of the 9mm and just add upgrades to hit that sweet spot where offperks can one-hit decapitate small ZEDs and 2 shot-decapitate Gorefasts, which would then make Commando/SWAT with their 9mm skills kill with one headshot small Zeds and gorefast heads. For reference, it takes 2 shot for the old 9mms to decapitate small Zeds offperk and 3-4 shots for Gorefasts. While commando and SWAT did 1-hit decapitations and 2-hit decapitations on Gores in the non-beta version of the game.

Part of the reason why you would want to buy some of the weaker weapons in this game is because they act as intermediaries for stronger weapons down the line, if you can upgrade the starting pistols to be so powerful that they can headshot most of the enemies in the game on the highest difficulty it kind of makes that irrelivant. I know that was part of the plan, but looking at things like the various rifles and submachineguns, I'm wondering why anyone would bother with most of them now.

The old t4 are t3 now and didnt got nerfed like mad. If you Upgrade them once they are basily like before (their price got reduced too). But you can upgrade any gun to t5 now (adds damage and weight).

Don't you always start your games as SWAT with close combat training? You get 175 extra cash instead of the regular 100 from selling the starting weapons. Even on 4 round HoE it's very beneficial.

9mm pistol are tier 0,25 two pistols are tier 0,5. Upgrade it ones its tier 1,5 upgrade it 5 times they are tier 5,5 the strongest weapon in the game.

Is there any noticeable change to the 9mm? They barely do more damage and they dont even burst fire.

Chad Corte fully upgraded on swat is almost as good as a a fully upgraded desert eagle it has way less ammo.
