He's one of the best on KZbin going over basic stuff that would help everyone improve their technique. Greatly helped me go from level 0 to grilling my coworker at the tennis table :D
@Technical.Table.Tennis4 жыл бұрын
I think this video has the proper amount of detail for beginners. For those saying it's too detailed, there's no better time to be extra careful about your technique than when you're just starting out in the game. I'd say to all the beginners out there, the left foot usually steps forward when playing a powerful put away shot and not for a controlled, repetitive forehand drive.

@Technical.Table.Tennis4 жыл бұрын
@@JudahMaccabee_ since I don't see an answer here I wanted to see if I could help. You answer that by flipping the underspin with a heavy loop. Open up your bat angle, and the trajectory of your stroke should be be more upwards and less forward. Good luck!

Its also helpful to know that you're hitting the top half of the ball when countering while both players are using spinny rubber. You hit across the top of the ball when your opponent makes a lot of topspin. Or you hit just the top back of the ball when your opponent makes less topspin. Sometimes your opponent will hit very slow or they will just block. Then the ball has a lot less speed and topspin. Provided that your drive before that wasn't too good. In which case a simple block can be deadly!

It is referred as BAT, reason being there are no strings, such as Cricket Bat and not Cricket Racquet. Anything that has strings is called a racquet, such as squash racquet, lawn tennis racquet 🎾... trust that explains...

@@24thmarch1978 I play in a table tennis club. I've played with many players from amateur, intermediate, advanced and even professional players. In my years of playing the game, not once have I or those that I know that actually play the game, ever called it a bat. It has always been a racket.
