The thing with Class A amps is that, as soon as you turn them on, they draw the maximum amount of power from the mains. Your choice is to turn up the pre-amp to deliver sound. It does not matter how much you turn it up, it still draws the maximum amount of energy from the mains.

I always liked the looks of the pathos amps. I'd hook that up to some Tannoys for some critical sitting in the sweet spot listening. For a party, where I need the whole room to be a sweet spot, I'm gonna be listening to that amp on my Klipsch Heresy IV's. Klipsch Cornwalls, would be perfect if I had a pair of those.

It looks amazing and I'd say sounds amazing but I wouldn't trust What Hifi I would listen to it Chez Kevin and bring Tool "Fear Inoculum" with me and see what it does!
