Companies that make good products rarely invest so much in their image and marketing and wouldn’t use roulette wheels and sale notifications on their website. A good product can speak for itself. I’m glad I steered clear.

I wear my Jim green barefoot boot about 50 hours a week and absolutely love the functionality. They hold up very well for me and I would recommend them to anyone who needs a pair of work boots. If you don't need boots, I wear my earth runners for everything else

Bought a different shoe from Bearfoot. Took months to get, and returned after taking a good look at them. My $40 Whitten's are just as good

I have a pair that have torn out counters, ripped instep leather, and broken eyelet hooks after around 5 months of outdoor work, they're on their second sole. The quality control left me wanting also. But I really like the shape and performance. I'll try Jim Green next.

The heel blew out of mine after 2 weeks, and 2 days after I left a 5 star review. The triple stitching on the heel turned out to only have one row of stitching holding the seam. The other two rows of stitching only went through the top layer and did not secure the seam, in other words, they were only for looks. Also, the inside threads of the stitching is fabric quality and has no business on footwear.

Thanks for the review. There aren't too many on this zero drop boot. I had hesitated to buy because of sizing issues. If the boot doesn't have to be high top I highly recommend the Jim Green Barefoot African rangers. The boots are great. Very durable. Actually have a real toe cap. Retail for $189. On top of that, I received my boots in under six days!

Sounds like I should just go get those.

I agree with the Jim Green recommendation, I have two pairs of African Rangers and they are really quite nice (although I'm not as hard on mine, and they aren't the barefoot type). If check with your cobbler on resoling Jim Green's -- he might not have seen them yet since they are new to the US market. But, worst case, Jim Green does offer a resoling service,

I third the suggestion for Jim Green. I have a pair of Barefoot African Rangers and love them. You can get customs made with the zero drop last on their other models too if you want an 8 inch boot.
@pathrst4 ай бұрын
@@kitcraft9516 now that sounds enticing. Do you know what the additional price is on top of the price for the other models?

I can confirm, the Jim Green's are awesome. They're made like real boots. Real stiching, real thread, tough leather. Built to take it, whatever it is.

Mine came with ripped seams, I emailed them and they gave me a partial refund. Wore them a few times and it’s just a oddly designed boots and the soles were obviously going to wear out and doesn’t seem they resole the boot

"I have several brands of barefoot shoes including the Bruin. I love leather shoes but they are rare. Unfortunately, the leather shoes from Vivobarefoot have a textile lining inside, which is a pity. The Bruin doesn't fit well around the heel for me, it's a bit loose there which causes friction. I also have Hanwag Lhassa II shoes, not minimalist, they cost around 350 euros but what you get for that is phenomenal. The Bruin shoes can't compare to that."

I’ll look into those, too.

Either trim down the intros or talk over them. It is a waste of airtime to play generic music and boring video at the same time.

Barefoot shoes suck. Its a fad

@@Skinnymoose gotta say, I think there is much to them. I and a bounty of my friends and family have seen a major drop in back and knee issues after making the transition. Nothing different was done in our lifestyles. Just the switch.
