Pathways to Peace: The mission of the church is to heal

"The mission of the Church is to pour oil and wine on the wounds to heal," says Natallia Vasilevich, a Belarusian Orthodox theologian from the Ecumenical Patriarchate, and member of the CEC Steering Group on Pathways to Peace. In an interview with CEC, she discusses the war in Ukraine, the manipulation of religion in fuelling conflict, and emphasises the hope that European churches can play a significant role in fostering peace.
