Love that you didn't toss the furniture and replace with new. Here in the US, so many people will not take the time and effort to refurbish old wood anything. I've gained most of my wood furniture from others people's discards on trash day. I love the satisfaction of bringing it back to life and the price is right :)

I love it, it reminds me of an italian patio area with the pots and flowers. Power washing is addictive 😂 I had completed all my power washing within a week of lockdown, I peaked too soon and was looking for things to clean 😂

So satisfying to pressure wash! One thing I've come across that drove me mad was the pressure washer couldn't pick up rust/every stain - White Vinegar will neutralize rust and you can really easily scrub it off and rinse away. Not suggesting you need to! Just noticed a few spots that reminded me of mine and figured I'd share the tip I came across.

OMG it looks soo good. I pressure washed the garage doors today. I did my patio this year and so didn't realise it was so bad until i started. Even my 8 year old daughter was hooked. Great video and what an amazing garden Nan has. Xx

I used to have that same patio table and bench but a wind storm destroyed it .however i have the chairs but they are rickety and super weathered and not sure if they can be salvaged???..any way love what you did to your nans patio its like a hidden tea garden.

LOL I’ve spent the last few days pressure washing my patio. Yes, days. I’m on pass #4 and I still have at least a couple more to go! I wasn’t just working on getting a layer of grime off, it actually was formerly the neglected back half of the driveway that has a lot of cracked concrete and over the years, dirt and grass have accumulated. SO MUCH MUD from pressure washing! But it’s looking good so far, and after one or two more passes I can start fixing the concrete.

Pass 4! Wow keep up the hard work, i tried it on my front door steps that were thick with mud and it definitely needs a few goes. I hope you can finish it soon and admire all your hard work ☺️

Fantastic well done 👍 how lovely your so close to your grandmother.Noticed a section of guttering was missing maybe get someone in to replace it. It can do an enormous amount of damage to the building where water is pouring down the wall .Enjoy your videos xx

Wow Hermione, this is a great patio makeover, I sure hope your Nan loves it as much as I do, and that pressure washer really made such a difference, I know I have used one on my old deck and it totally made it like brand new again. You might put some oil on the furniture that will help to preserve it and give it a nice finish, old wood loves oil. I would love to have a little patio area like this to makeover, I have an area but it's got junk on it now but as soon as I get it moved off I can see what fun I can have with that area and maybe put up a cute pergola or something. thanks again for all of the great ideas and inspiration. I did put some spray oil in it but I think it needs another coat as it drinks it up. Good luck with clearing your outdoor area 😃 I’m sure it will be lovely with the pergola when it’s done! There are scrubbers that use the pressure washer, for patios available. They are riund and have brushes. Very reasonable in price.
