We want more of this kind of video! It really helps on correcting the mistakes that we common people don’t know

Super helpful level of critique here. I don't see much on KZbin in the "intermediate" realm where the photos are GOOD, not total amateur work, but could be BETTER. Those slightly more advanced tips around intentionality, framing, timing, etc. are really great and Pat expresses them thoughtfully.

Agreed. TONS of beginner series on YT. Not many intermediate and advanced. Thought Andy's color grading was pretty strong

I can not stress how helpful, interesting and impressive this kind of video was! Thank you so much, would love to see the format returning.

Pat you should make this a series with other photographers! The value this had was enormous!

Cool video concept Pat. Some great shots by Andy here, he is definitely talented. It's kind of a shame that we've become somewhat forced to crop everything vertically for instagram. I felt at least a few of these landscape shots would have been better if they were shot or cropped horizontally, such as the northern lights shot. I also feel that shots with mountain ranges are usually better suited for horizontal, as it creates more of a "vast" feeling, such as the NZ hiking shot at 40:35.

Please consider doing more of these videos. It's fun to guess what you think vs what the audience member thinks. The assignment of a numerical score is, in my opinion, not necessary. It's the feedback on the image that's important. Take your friend out from some sake and sushi...he deservers it!

I appreciated this style of content from you, Pat. Thanks for making time to share how your eye sees other people's work. A special thanks to @andyescapes for your willingness to put your work under the microscope for thousands of people to dissect and more importantly to learn. Pat, I'm curious... how and through whom did you receive feedback in your development as a photographer?
