This is an AMV Idea i had back in 2017. I meant to edit it ever since, but never got to it. Then a time frame appeared around mid-August and i just went on with it. I had a blast editing this and while it may not be the most straight forward story, i hope you feel some of the awe i felt when watching these movies.
Patlabor is a franchise dear to Mamoru Oshii, the director of both Ghost in the Shell movies. While he hasn't been involved with GitS in decades, he keeps coming back to Patlabor. From my understanding, those are his passion projects and boy does it show. If you like the GitS movies and wish to see more crazy moody Anime, look no further.
This is my first AMV to premiere at Connichi in 9 years. Special thanks to JadeCharm for beta testing.

Sorry, I'am bad speak English well, my native language is Russian, but I'm learning English. I’m sitting here rewatching the GANBUSTER AMV for the hundredth time and at the end I see that a new Mecha AMV has been added to the playlist. The music is well chosen. The full-length PATLABOR has a sadder mood than the series. The music just conveys the mood that is in the full-length PATLABOR. Thanks for the AMV about mecha anime, I hope you don't forget other mecha anime. I'm waiting for new AMVs on mecha anime. Good luck!

Hello and thank you for the nice comment. I like Mecha Anime and will likely keep doing AMVs to them at least once a year. I already did some work for the next one, though it will be a couple of months until release.

Es ist doch immer wieder interessant was für Combos du so zusammen mixt :D Du bist wohl einer der konstantesten Editoren in Sachen Qualitycontent der mir untergekommen ist und es ist für mich immer noch nicht nachvollziehbar wie man das Level über so eine lange Zeit und in so einer Frequenz beibehalten kann. Respekt! Die Premiere an der Nichi zu deinem Panel war überraschend und bei so einem Video auch sehr wilkommen ^-^

My DM is planning to run some kind of Pathfinder 2e/Lancer mash-up campaign somewhere down the line with Mechas more based on Patlabor than, say, Gundam. That together with this AMV is making me think I should check out the movies/series sometime. 👀

I had to look for a while for sure. Different versions exist and I was trying to get the best quality possible. Though this was 5 years ago. They might have 4K BDs by now. No idea. Anyway, thanks for the comment!
