Patman foam armor Pattinson Batman Suit DIY

Whats up KZbin, this is Sean and Im back with another How to DIY tutorial video on how to make Robert Pattinson's Batman suit out of eva foam on the cheap and easy like I always do. Im just going to cover the torso and the arms since Im going to use the boots (gaiter) that I made in the previous video.

I always wonder if It was easier to wear a foam armor suit if the foam was attached to the clothing rather than wearing a separate armor set. I made a Red Hood cosplay and because it was my very first I did notice some growing pains with it. First is having to bend or sit down. If not done right the foam will bunch up and be very uncomfortable. Also when doing cosplay you gotta take into account using the restroom and if the weather is very hot, it can be exhausting. Any tips on all these things???

As soon as I get paid tomorrow, I'm gonna pay you for the template. 👌🏼👌🏼 Then I'll need to buy some Eva Foam, gloves and military boots. All that's left is a cape, which I have already (Kylo Ren's leather one from Star Wars Episodes VIII and IX - and I'll have to hide the hood.) I'll custom make the mask from Eva Foam and make sure that there's a neck guard too. Wanna wear it on the night of March 3rd. P. S. I forgot to mention the utility belt, undersuit and leg parts. I'll use Eva Foam for the leg parts - should be easy to custom-make. The utility belt parts should be easy to get from Amazon and then the undersuit will be a back-zipped black/dark grey wetsuit.

Great work! How do you make your patterns? Design in 3D and unfold, paper on a mannequin, or some other magic?

I 3d model and retopo on Blender for the OBJ, then I flatten on Pepakura for the ESP, then I refine and simplify on Adobe Illustrator for the PDF, then I switch over to Correl Draw to organize and convert to SVG so I can the make the GCodes for LaserGRBL so i can laser etch the patterns to eva foam. Then I'll build it, some cases it takes couple attemps then I take the video files AVCHD and edit in Adobe Premier. Once Im done I'll export it to MPEG and upload it to KZbin. I'm trying not to get into the details but I do wish there was some kind of magic. I may make a video on the whole process. Thanks for checking out the vid

I remember when the test phootage was released and i said " so i guess its patman now huh?" You know like a play on pacman but batman slash / pattinson. Some one responded no battinson. But i guess they were repeating what the media put out. Although i still think patman makes more sense.
