Patpong was huge back in the late 90's. It was a whole different ball game. Cheers Joe!

It was wild. Even crazier in the 70s and 80s.

I went to some Go Go’s in Pat Pong wayyy back in 2004. They were very lively and full of customers
@EagerExpat4 ай бұрын
Yes, 20 years ago it was jumping. Today Soi Cowboy and Nana Plaza have taken most of the customers. Still, Boys Town is going strong.

Don't remember the Pink Panther on Moreno Blvd. I do remember Pacers, The Body Shop and the Doll House on Midway Drive though, near Foggy's Notion where I once got talking to a painted on Pig because I had a few too many. One of my room mates in MB worked at The Doll House. Another great video Joe. I hope we're still on for the 7th at 5PM....

Sadly, Patpong has been hit the hardest of the "entertainment" areas due to the world "locking down". Classic, long-standing bars such as Madrid, Cosmo and Safari have now closed down. In January 2020, you could have a great night out in Patpong, but it will never be the same. That said, I appreciate the video and the tips you share.

Yes, but Boys Town is going strong. Those aren't my bars, but that area was busy. Hopefully, it will be cool again one day. Other areas like Soi Nana in Chinatown have taken off in the last year. Everything evolves. But, Patpong was the original. Old School

Pat Pong is dead. I know, came there first time in 1979. Have had great fun in many many bars there, famous Vinai Cosmos in Pat Pong 2, Madrid, Cozy Club in Pat Pong 1 and many many other bars. Music Cafe on the corner, always crowded. But nearly all bars are gone, so is the night market, a few people there. It’s really sad to see that Pat Pong did not survive the Covid ☹️

Patpong slowed down way before Covid. I remember many bars closing in 2016. Boys Town is going strong. Bangkok has a way of changing fast. The new Soi Nana in Chinatown is a new hot spot. That blew up overnight. I'll bet Patpong will become cool again one day. It won't be old CIA guys. It will be young Thais and art, music, food, etc.. I spend little time in GoGos these days, but I like to see them do well.

I remember touring around / checking out Patpong, in 2000 .. Farang walking down the St - pointing a Video Camera at Farang's in front of the Bars .. I don't know if he "got the chit beat out of him" but that was the look on some "old school & tough looking" Farang's faces .. I'm glad you are "sensitive" (respectful) of people's "privacy" in Red Light Areas .. I'm amazed by the arrogant-ignorance of "a lot" of Vloggers ..

Well, I get it. I'll get thumbs down and where are the girls comments on here. Some people confuse KZbin and You Porn. I doubt those guys filming cared about the guys. They wanted the shot of the ladies. Myself, I don't think it's cool to take anyone's photo especially sitting in a go go bar. A lady or customer. I try to avoid people everywhere. But, it's impossible to film in a city of 16 million without having people in the shot. Running down the middle of Soi Cowboy with a Hollywood camera lens isn't going to happen here. I'll show you how to get there, then you're on your own.

Ya, KZbin gets strange sometimes. I'm subscribed to channels, but if I don't watch for a month or so, it doesn't show me a new video. I never turn the bell on. I understand if people don't in my channel. I put out a video every day. Lots of bells. But, thanks for finding me again. So far, in growing 350 to 550 a month. I'm glad someone is watching.

Is it far for me to take a tuk tuk from nana to Patpong?
@EagerExpat4 ай бұрын
Traffic is the issue. Take the MRT Blue to Silom or the Dark Green BTS to Sala Daeng. 2 minute walk. But, late at night, a Tuk Tuk will be fine

Good advice about not filming in or around the clubs. I was at the HK in Tijuana earlier this year using my phone for google translate and one of the bouncers almost snatched my phone and kicked me out because he thought I was videoing inside the club.
@EagerExpat4 ай бұрын
Ya, it's best to keep that phone put away. I've seen girls maybe a little drunk, start to yell. You were checking the map, and other guys are filming. It gets ugly fast.

If you are not on a company expense account stay clear of those girls Soi Thanya. The only goal is to set you on your way home with a bill of ฿100,000 and maybe a peck on the cheek😂😂😂
