Thank you sir...I am a newbie with Hyperstar (still in box waiting on me) and prior to installing I wanted to watch youtube and learn how..You explained it perfectly for me...Detailed and showed me the procedure I will need to follow the first time I try it..This week...Once again thank you

I hope I steered you in the proper direction. It's been a while since I used the Hyperstar but plan to attach it once again soon, perhaps with another video. Right now I am focusing on remote set-ups

Pat...I recently saw a video where you dismounted the Celestron EdgeHD 11" OTA in favor of a 190mm Mak Newt. If the Hyperstar brings your imaging speed down to f2 and your focal length to 560mm and you can shoot at 30 - 90 seconds instead of 300- 420 seconds, why change out your OTA...just keep the C11 mounted and add or remove the Hyperstar depending on your shooting schedule plans for the evening?

Hi Jeffery, Well, I thought about that and tried it. Looks good in theory but the results didn't reach expiations. When you take the HyperStar image and blow it up to match the f/10 image, there is no comparison ... the f/10 is much cleaner while the f/2 is blurry and grainy. I'd rather fight and tackle the tracking at f/10 . When I get it right, the images are much better.. BTW, I am mounting my C11 on the CGEM mount, that I just also had repaired and serviced.

I have a Mak180 and a EQR6-Pro mount and am looking to upgrade to the 9.25 or 11 inch. Your 11 inch looks amazing...I am only afraid of over-sampling with my Zwo camera´s ?

Thank you for watching my video, Gunner. The 11 inch at f/10 is a big light bucket. You can always bin at 2x2 the help from over sampling. I find with my ZWO 071 mc with that large pixel size of over 4 microns works well with the reducer ... f/7.

Great I already have a ZWO 071 camera...

The CGEM mount works for the 11 inch ???

It will but that would be the upper weight limit. It would be fine for planetary but if you plan for any deep sky objects that require longer tracking time, that mount will struggle. My 11" Edge HD came with the CGEM, which I eventually upraded to the stronger CGX. The CGX also has a direct USB connection and auto alignment settings.
