Few inaccuracies in this video: 1) the proper title is Ecumenical (world jurisdiction) Patriarchate of Constantinople not simply “Orthodox Greek Patriarch”, 2) the relics were not simply “taken” from the city in 1204, but rather “stolen”...

Actually they were Romans, their capital was New Rome the City of Constantine. The Germans invented the term Byzantine to make their Holy Roman Empire and its Catholic Church seem more important. The original Patriarchal Cathedral was the Cathedral of Holy Wisdom, often called the Great Church by Orthodox Christians after the Pope of Rome became Catholic (he was originally the Orthodox Patriarch of the West).

Great video! I was just there last week. There aren’t many signs telling you whom the relics belonged to. Wasn’t sure what I was looking at until now.
