Of course because it originated before the concept of football, even the Chinese version a few hundred years ago (forgot the actual name). Racism is a choice, sometimes it is inherited whilst other times it is merely picked up through life. You could be born into a family who value this aspect thus making it your own from a young age whilst on the last few decades we've consistently seen the use of the N word in music, the very word used against people's ancestors. If the entire collective community of football want to rid this problem then everyone whether it be from grass roots football all the way to professional level, players and supporters alike have to be given life bans, fines, criminal record for discrimination and even jail time for repeat offenders.

The Football Association's report into the incident, released at the end of December 2011, stated that, after being tackled by the Uruguayan, Evra asked Suarez why he had kicked him, to which the forward replied in Spanish: "Because you are black." When Evra challenged him to repeat the answer and said he would "punch him", Suarez said: "I don't speak to blacks." Don't even get me started on the biting. Genuine question: what was so 'deep' or 'incredible' about what he said here? I think he has some kind of Jekyll & Hyde thing when he plays games because when he's off the pitch he seems like a totally calm and normal person.
