Pretty much skipping over O&A and not including Ant was bullshit. The conversations Ant and Patrice had were so real and comedy gold. I feel like I got to know Patrice through O&A, I still listen to old shows. RIP Patrice.

Ant is taking the right approach with his attitude towards not being in the doc but let's be real - - the real test is whether Patrice would be pissed off about it. He would be livid. Patrice just fucking loved being on air. every episode when they were wrapping up u could literally hear it in patrices voice and he'd literally say it. ahhh man, its over? and ant liked oateice and also felt like he was doing lab research talking to a black man and leaning about black culture knowing he won't get hurt in the process. ant seemed genuinely curious about patrice from a racists standpoint like he was happy and curious as fuck to have found a good one..

Anthony not being included in the documentary what is the first thing I thought of after watching it. Anthony and Patrice's chemistry on the radio for so many years had a huge positive effect on Patrice's fan base and career. I was wondering how much Bill Burr had to do with the production, and that being one of the reasons Anthony wasn't a part of the doc, because I don't think he cares for Anthony anymore. The film smooths over Patrice's rough edges. The makers even ignored the incident where he spent weeks in jail behind a false rape allegation. (A fascinating and dramatic story, Patrice was traumatized, and recounting it on the O&A show was probably the most emotional I've heard him.) That, and leaving Cumia out of the movie, is unforgivable. Especially considering all the fluff that ended up padding the running time.

There should be a youtube channel of the Patrice stories that never got added to the Doc. Or added as bonus content to it... Something! I want to hear them.

Thanks to Anthony for introducing many people to Patrice on the o&a. Also to great back and forth they both shared. On another note, Diaz is not on Patrices level at all. Yes, he tells long drawn out stories, like that drunk uncle on Thanksgiving.

Yeah, because she did. The first attempt at a Patrice doc (Better Than You) was her attempt to cash in off a fresh corpse. Patrice's mom, with Bill Burr's money and support, fought to legally block her out of any future endeavors regarding Patrice.

She used the love Patrice's friends had for him, to get them to sit for unpaid interviews, and help raise the 100 grand she got in crowdfunding to get the thing made. Then, just as a final twist of the knife, having taken the money, and everyone's good will and free time, and done nothing with it, she palmed the interview footage off to Comedy Central, a company Patrice once referred to as "Where funny goes to die'".

Bill has fully adapted to his LA environment. LA sees Bill as this super edgy comic that goes right up to the line and never crosses it. Don’t get me wrong, I think Bill is hilarious, but he has found a way to tip toe around without pissing too many people off and I don’t think he will ever intentionally cross any line again unless it get set back even more than it is. The line of today is a mile away from where the line was back in 2010

If you compare the amount of content Patrice had in specials/tv compared to O&A, it's not even close. You can listen to 12 hour compilations of him on the show. It's a shame they left Ant out. One of my favorite bits was the racist cab thing him and ant did. Me and my bro were laughing so hard we were literally crying.

Hundreds and hundreds of hours are recorded forever because of Opie and Anthony, if that didn't exist most people would have ever known patrice oneal and I'm sure all of us Old O and A fans all feel similarly blessed to have been able to know and experience him. Not putting dipaolo in, ok...makes sense, but Ant.... like that is ridiculous.
