I always had a peripheral awareness of O&A, but only now am I regularly listening. Opie is at the very bottom tier of the “average IQ” group, or he might be at the top tier of the “below average IQ” group. Not very bright. He can’t conceptually grasp that Patrice’s point was that if men weren’t always preoccupied with p*ssy, we wouldn’t brush our teeth, clean our car, wear matching clothes, etc. If somehow, Opie is actually fairly intelligent, that means he derails the rhythm and flow of the show intentionally to remind everyone that it’s HIS show. Man, I wish I could have gotten to know Patrice. I never say that about anyone (athlete, celebrity, other comedians, etc). Patrice had so much depth, it would have been so much fun to discuss everything with that dude.

Both guys are completely true. Growing up I didn’t have much, but once a year we’d go up to the ocean as a family of 7 and rent a cabin for a week. I loved the hell out of that cabin. It wasn’t the fanciest, but everything worked, it had a great fireplace, and had a full pine interior that was awesome. No frills, but perfect for what it was. Still to this day my dream home. I also know women want shit that works and works all the time with little of their own work- the shower, the sink, the kitchen, a comfortable couch. The key is to have shit that requires little upkeep and lasts for a long time- you’ll love it, she’ll love it. Most importantly you don’t have to argue over it.
