As racist as Anthony is, I always think it's brilliant how him and Patrice had such good chemistry. The best race talk we've ever seen. It's so refreshing seeing two guys who have a talent for funny from different races hashing it out in good faith and respecting each other. I really wish Patrice had lived to the podcast age and made a pod with Anthony. They're amazing together. Patrice would have been top of the game in the podcast age, bigger than Theon Von, Tom Segura, etc... Damn, we really lost something. RIP big man.

An ambulance ride shouldn't be $5500..
@ExternusArmy Жыл бұрын
You know these prices are chosen at a near random basis? Insurance companies have deals where they can reduce that price to nearly nothing, not through payment but just mere adjustments. Doesn’t it make sense for the government to look into the near random amounts that they’re charging rather than taking your dinner to give the owners of the medical system boats?

They’re more than that! I had one that was $10,000 for a 10 minute drive to the hospital. Then you have the actual hospital bills 😮

If we had a single payer system, the government would mandate lowered prices nationally, instead of the current system where the medical providers and insurance companies hold us hostage for necessary treatments, knowing that we can’t find out the prices or what is approved before we get treated. It’s a free market system manipulated in a toxic blackmail. Imagine if you called the fire department to put out a fire at your house, and you had to make sure you called the right fire house so it’s in network with your home insurance, and then you find out the water they used that day wasn’t in network even though the firemen were, as now you owe 10,000 in addition to losing your home

Anthony claiming he wouldnt have taken help as a laborer is the biggest crock of shit I've ever heard.
@jayrizzle92264 ай бұрын
It's very possible he would have bit equally possible he wouldn't have. Some people just don't believe in hand-outs. Example, my father never took any hand-outs but he honestly needed it many times but he always found a way to come through like a real man is supposed to do. After some years it paid off he has his own money and owes nothing to anyone and he also can be proud of what he has because it's his and he has some things to really help his wife and family if (God forbid) anything ever happens to him. If a person is living off the govt teet and never plans to try to really work without saving money then that's selfish because living like that if you aren't handicapped is selfish because you have nothing to leave your family, which shows you didn't care about them should anything suddenly happen bad., anf you show also you were a taker that never gave back to society. Lastly, ant is right for the simple fact that it is called the American dream for a reason, not everyone will achieve it. Some people are destined to be in top or in the middle in this country and some sadly are destined to be on the bottom. Without those on the bottom we would have nothing above it to strive for.

@aureate that is such a ridiculous take "work harder BS" Its not that simple. For one what about retired old people who work 80hrs all their lives who can't afford health insurance? There are mean nuances and layers to just simply "stop being lazy" argument
@aureate9 ай бұрын
@@Trapinnewyork44 Thank you for basically admitting that you condone laziness. You need to be 65 years old to retire. If you're still busting your ass after working/saving 47 years, then the first question I ask is what happened to you in those 47 years. It's statistically improbable to be unlucky for 47 years straight. Even investing $100 a month would have made retirement easier.
@Kamiwave8 ай бұрын
@@aureateI think you need to be more realistic, what about people with disabilities, the people who had to work paycheck to paycheck their entire lives, or people who’s had a medical emergency, where they need to spend thousands of dollars just to survive. The number of people who are trapped in poverty, without a real tangiable way to leave it is staggering. Now all Americans pay taxes, if your working you’re giving to a country that’s supposed to ensure the well being of its citizens, why is it so wrong to want your spending to benefit you in a tangiable way? 26 million Americans don’t have insurance which effectively means they have no safety net, in the face of any medical emergency, most Americans are also living paycheck to paycheck in reality most our a few bad paychecks away from homelessness. For a nation that I’ve been raised to believe is the greatest on earth, it’s failing its citizens in nonsensical ways
@aureate8 ай бұрын
@@Kamiwave Dude, I was poor. Simply getting good at maths unlocks so many possibilities. It's infuriating when people use edge cases like disabilities to explain the entirety of poverty. Again, every single person has about a half century of working time on this planet between ages 18 and 65. And the overwhelming majority of those people won't be on disability unless they do something completely reckless. I actually know people who remain in poverty and it's mostly self-inflicted. It boils down to simply eating unhealthy, wasting money on drugs, getting into unnecessary disputes with family, traumatizing their children to the point of resentment, etc. We don't have a poverty problem; we have an intelligence problem.
