We did this at Western Michigan University when I was in grad school. That was way too long ago, but I still remember every note of this. (I didn't have the lead :( but our lead was amazing!)

Huh. Listening to his back to back with the Fleming version, I have to say, this one is...really, notably better. I guess it's just Fleming's reputation that makes that seem initially surprising.

It takes a lot of breath to sing long phrases, and she could even have been singing this while sick. It takes a lot more breath to sing when sick.

Sounded fine to me (breathing choices). It was the last note for me. Was it I or was it a hair under?? Feel guilty for even wondering out loud and worse yet, voicing because it was so exquisitely done...
