I am a huge PM fan and would agree that the travel palate is amazing. What surprised me the most is the mothership 10 palate. I did not expect it to be as versatile and beautiful as it was on. The formulation is the best from her that I have tried and that is saying something as she is the ultimate in luxury. Thank you for the 5 looks on this palate. Gorgeous as always!

I wonder if the Kathleen Lights palette depends a lot on skin tone! I was surprised when you said so many of the shades are similar, because on me they are all very distinctly different! But then I started thinking maybe that’s due to me being much fairer, so the subtler differences in undertone and saturation are more obvious? So interesting! ❤️

I like your thoughtful presentation of the rankings! The prices of these big, non-drugstore palettes are now high enough that “acceptable” quality is just not good enough. We can get acceptable or better at much lower price points with other brands.

The ABH one is my favourite out of these, I love the way it has lots of shimmers and how soft and easy they are to blend. Plus the bigger pan sizes are great, as because her formula is soft I find myself hitting pan really quickly compared to my other palettes where I usually never hit pan. But my ABH Modern Renaissance is the only palette where I have hit pan on multiple shades despite only having it for a few months

I would've placed the PM palette lower, maybe at no.5. When you flashed up the five looks you had created, it really looked like two looks with slight tweaks made to them - This isn't because you lack talent, no, no nooooooooo, you have tons of talent and are ridiculously creative. This is due to the lack of contrasting matte shades. Either a blue/purple/green would have worked perfectly and would've opened up the palette. At $128, I expect more from a palette. I totally agree with you regarding the Two Faced palette and your reasons. Urban Decay are guilty of the same mistake - they've both become complacent and believe they have a great formula, which they did .... 8 years ago!! I mean, even some drugstore brands have better formulas now! This was brilliant Patty, I really enjoyed hearing your thoughts on each palette 😊 Much love to you 💜💛💜💛💜💛💜

Mothership X is my favourite of the releases so far this year, because I just can't get past the astral blitz shades. And then the ABH and Glaminatrix palettes are vying for 2nd place. It's winter here so I've not been wearing colour much at all and the more neutral toned palettes are my favourite for this time of year. Looking forward to the spring weather coming and some lighter and brighter make up with it!

I almost bought the Kathleen Lights palette but I figured I would be disappointed at that price point. I’m glad I didn’t. I’m waiting for the upcoming ND. I love this video! I love that you included swatches for each look and really gave a great opinion. I do think there are still brands out there that haven’t updated formulas because today we can get metallic amazing shades that blend so easily for a lot cheaper (with the better quality) I loved the new Kathleen colab so much, but the price was insane. I did a full unboxing and tutorial of the PR set on my KZbin channel and OMG! Even with the price..It is stunning!! I was so happy to get my hands on it. The metallic and shimmer shades are.. EVERYTHING! I hope you are loving it just as much! 😍❤️

Patty, there's nothing wrong with your top pick at all. I own both of the Pat McGrath Eye Ecstasy Palettes which are perfect for travelling and you needn't worry about anything breaking either. There has been so many releases already this year and I feel swamped. I did go for the ABH Nouveau Palette due to those specific shades and to finally try the brand which I'm enjoying. Now, it's time to save for Holiday releases!🇦🇺💖🕊

The problem I have with the ABH palette is that if they had come out with this color story 2-3 years ago I would have been all over it. Since then I have purchased palettes with those colors in them - so no need to get this one. I agree that the packaging is gorgeous. I do love ABH palettes though and hope they will put one out this holiday.

I completely agree with you on the Amunet palette. If that one shade would be like a grey toned light mauve, it would do so much for the other colours and I would have probably want to get it. It's weird how one shade can really make or break a palette

The best shadows I have tried, high end lower end etc, are the Color Pop quads! They are very smooth, creamy and pigmented and they have a ton to choose from! Any color you’d want. 🥰

In case she doesn’t see this, Rephr are still her favorite and most used. In one of her most recent videos she raved about her favorite brushes and talked about a BOGO sale on the Rephr site! Not sure if it’s still happening but it may be a good time to try them if you’re interested. Sonia G are really nice too but the handles are much prettier/more sophisticated. Rephr brushes have simple black ones.

A few hours ago I took a risk and placed an order with them ;-) I have a few Sonia G brushes, but somehow they didn't impress me. Their handles are really nice, but unfortunately they are not brushes, which I use most often when applying eye makeup ;-)
