King Matthews not at all. I’ve rebuild mine completely. The transmission is more delicate than other brands so I had to replace it. Just keep up on the clutch and it’s fine. Other than that , it an amazing bike.

@@backwardsko Totally agree, you have to be way over average to get the best out of a 250. There's lots of youngsters on YT with 250s, they wind the throttle open then a second later back off.... way too much power for them. Get a 125 and ride it wide open. Much more fun. Max revs!

That's a fact when I was first learning to ride 2 strokes I went from a 125 and then a few months later to a 250 for a year and now Im back to riding my 125 more then ever way more fun then a 250 the power to wieght ratio on a 125 is just right

Someone makes fun of them? In motocross racing, 250ccm 4 strokes were needed to keep up with the 125ccm 2 strokes. Their raw power is insane, maybe not on top speed but for acceleration

Very true 125 are under rated for sure that's all you hear this day age 125 2 strokes won't keep up with 250f bikes there way slow bollox ...I do know 250f is easier to ride fast and slow down but there not that good ... back in my day we used to race 125 against 250 2 strokes and smoke alot guys on 500 cc 2 stroke guys so I wouldnt say my 1991 rm 125 was slow back in day we just rode them properly . I also own now 2006 rm 250 2 stroke which is beast love it and 2008 rm 125 both are awesome bikes the 2008 rm 125 is really fast from mid with loads of top end rev it does need to be reved all time but if you keep it on pipe it wicked little bike with amazing handling i don't race anymore but 2008 isn't lot slower than 2006 rm 250 2 stoke on top end the rm 125 still loads easier to ride fast I used to be good 125 rider back in day i think I would be quicker on 125 still if I was racing ... But I'm older now and only ride for fun.. Also back in day it was proper tracks tight twisty steep banks now mx tracks are boring since it's been all 450f 4 strokes spoiling motorcross last 20 years to point no one wants to watch it or be involved racing 4 stroke stuff ...one thing is for sure the 2 strokes started everything and will never get pushed out of sport of motorcross thank god we still have all evo racing 😁always keep 2 strokes alive 😂😂 no smoke no poke 😃😉👍👍
