That's actually a really great point. Networks stop pushing a show after a certain point. So it can get forgotten quickly and next thing you hear is a show is at 6, 7, and 8 seasons. Netflix kind of gets around marketing in some ways.

He is definitely wrong categorizing it as "not the kind of tv people would watch." The problem was there were so many shows running on USA at the time that were good and you couldn't keep up with them all. Between all the smoking weed and going out every night eventually you fall behind on some shows whether it was burn notice, suits, psych, or what have you. So when suits came through on netflix I, and many others, got to start it all over again and actually finish it. Great show.

The thing about Suits on Netflix in my opinion is that it made the show available for everyone everywhere. What I mean is that... I know Suits broadcast here in Spain, because the show is dubbed on Netflix so it must definitely have been released at some point, but I have 0 idea of when or where it was on. And this happens with a lot of shows btw. Community for example was broadcast in like a local channel in Madrid and nowhere else or some shit like that. That's why we use to pirate so much shit back then, because you never knew where anything was on, when it was on or if a show you liked was even on anywhere in your country. It was weird, specially because here it wasn't as common (up until very recently) to have "cable" or whatever it's called at home. But now that people can actually watch it it has found an audience.

@@gil_tpgi think it was because Jessica the character was handcuffed to a firm that doesn't "respect" her or her choices. The choice to do it in Chicago was a good move because of the corruption. But I feel like Jessica in "Pearson" couldn't do half of the things she did on Suits.

It was very engaging for a while, but I agree. How many times can these people create a problem by not answering a simple question, jump to insane conclusions despite knowing that conclusion is crazy, always forget that Louis is an asshole, or do any other stupid thing that forces a situation all the people on the show should be smart enough to avoid. And don't forget the million times they use the "all is lost, but this random conversation just triggered a thought thats going to fix everything" trope. Such lazy writing. I had a good time with it for a few seasons, but I can only take so many forced situations and intentionally dumbed down characters. Unfortunately this is the way that most shows go nowadays. Written for the lowest common denominator that needs everything spelled out for them and crave forced drama. The CBS/CSI set... the people that made Two and a half men (the worst show of all time) a juggernaught, and the same people that think they're smart because they watch big bang theory.

My theory to the sudden explosion of Suits (again) is because people were curious how law worked in general because of the (then) political climate. Suits entertained that curiosity. Being stuck at home gave people the “chance” of learning about law. Just a theory. 🤷♂️

I fell in love with suits while they were still filming the eighth season and I think like most suits enthusiast I have but haven’t watched the ninth season. I usually just watch till the end of season eight and then that’s kind of the end of it but I’ve seen the entire show probably eight or nine times from beginning to end. I like to turn it on when I’m just kind of bored but yeah I love that. It’s it’s getting this new Renaissance. I’m really excited for the remake. Stephen is not my favorite actor ever I watched a little bit of arrow when it first started coming out about season one through four and then I kind of lost interest just because his acting in the story writing just kind of ran its course and got a little bland, but I have high hopes for the new season of suits and I’m I’m pretty excited. Hopefully, we’ll get some Gabriel marker or something you know a little bit of Patrick J Adams thrown in would be nice. I really loved Rachel’s character probably one of my only like favorite female characters because most of them just have this like taboo, shallow storyline. I felt like Rachel’s and even Jessica’s were deep enough and unbelievable enough without being so full of Platitudes and I mean they touched on some of the race stuff a little bit, but I feel like everything now is made with such a an agenda that it’s just disgusting and I can’t put up with it so I don’t know. I’m excited I’m excited you know I hated him at first, but I think Lewis is probably my favorite character. I feel like his character. Oh man just a passion that Lewis was played with is beautiful.

This is why these people deserve residuals from netflix. You could star on a show and make peanuts, and then years later it can blow up now. And what netflix who is just renting the rights to the show, put no effort in. Deserves all the cash. And then they just keep all that money and dont invest it into new shows so that meople acctually get work. The film industry is already 14 hours minimum for every behind the scenes worker. And we want more work
