First half of the video is Mark Renshaw, then Lefevere comes in at about 2:30. No thanks to Lefevere for leaving Cav off the Tour team in 2022, the year after he'd tied the record. He could have broken the record in 2022 if he'd had the opportunity. Glad he got it done today so that he can silence all the naysayers.

It was such a nice sprint too and such a convincing win, especially important seeing the clip of this win is going to be replayed a lot in the future.

Always worth the risk of having Cav in the team because now the enduring image of Mark is one of him wearing the Astana jersey. Shrewd by Vino.

This years race has summed up Mark’s career with iIllness, people doubting and writing him off, then shows them all he’s the goat sprinter.

It's crazy how he wrote him off in 2022. The British National Champion, one of the best sprinters on God's green earth, didn't get a place in Patrick's team. Knight of the realm, Sir Cav just proved the biggest mouth in cycling since Oleg Tinkoff wrong.

Lets not forget that its thanks to Patrick that Cav was able to win stage 31, 32, 33 and 34. Without him, Cav would've retired 3 or 4years go after his last season at Bahrain. PATRICK was the only one that still believed in him and gave him another chance.

Rrrrriiiiiight. He's kicking himself right about now. Everybody else saw that he had 35 in him, why didn't Lefevere? I think he was just being dirty.

Could never understand why Lefev threw away the opportunity to have his team’s shirt forever in historic pictures. Ego overtook business sense. So glad Cav paid him back.

I'm not a Lefevre fan but he's one of the few who offered him a contract when Cavendish thought he had finished what he thought was his last ever race when he rode for Bahrein at Gent - Wevelgem in 2020.
