Defending the decision not to hit the short crosser on that 3rd and 9 is where you lost me. Kicker's been struggling and the winds are crazy... Josh Allen is a high octane 4th-and-short conversion machine, and you should probably be playing for 1st downs and 7 pts. in that situation anyway... and above all there was a very doable YAC path to the sticks.. this was not the kind of goofy "throw short of the line to gain on 3rd and long" decision that you made it out to be. he absolutely positively should have taken it. that's the kind of thing that keeps Allen from matching Mahomes

I've seen excellent analysis on the film and Allen made the right read. Allen got bumped on the throw that fell short in the end zone. I'm just saying those out there trying to hang the loss on Allen are really just being biased and not looking at the big picture. After looking at the film Allen and the Bills lost because of lack of consistent downfield receiving talent, because of excessive injuries especially on defense (Does everyone really think Kelce getting covered by street players like linebacker AJ Klein or 4th and 5th string DB's is the same as if we had 1st team all pro LB Matt Milano? Or all pro CB Tre White? Or even #2 CB Christian Benford and so on? I'm thinking people here are actually brighter then that and are actually just being disingenuous here), and don't forget about the Bills bottom 5 special teams including an injured punter and suddenly struggling kicker who missed the game tying kick, not to mention Sean McDermott himself with another dopey call for a fake punt on the Bills own 30 yard line! Like. Are people who criticize Allen and call him a "choker" and "loser" here REALLY have that little brains or integrity to lie through their teeth that they don't get why the Bills lost and instead try to pin it on Allen. It is the dumbest take ever. Allen has been a once in a generation talent but Mahomes has been a coddled always gets the calls always has the luck always gets the coaching and support from his team and has been really fortunate kind of guy. Allen has LITERALLY outplayed Mahomes the last 2 playoff games and STILL lost. If the Bills can fix their franchises internal mistakes and actually stay healthy as a team the Bills are the likely SB winners this year and next year and so on. Will they do it though? That remains to be seen. It's obvious the NFL and mainstream sports media want nothing more than the Bills to disintegrate, fall apart and Allen to go to a big market team. We Mafia know they're all against us and we want justice. Good luck getting it in a rigged system in a rigged nation and rigged world. We shall see.

As a 9ers fan who was rooting for Allen, his last two throws really disappointed me because even if he makes that pass to Shakir, you would get Mahomes far too much time especially given how your defence has been and what he did in the exact similar situation in the past. The right play was to extend the drive by making the easy pass to an open Diggs and take as much time off the clock as you can.

3:51 "What did he do on that final drive?" Throw a ball into a Chiefs defender hands and got lucky it wasn't picked, then fumbled and again got lucky that the Chiefs defender tried to scoop and score instead of just falling on it, then missed a wide open receiver in the endzone, then threw the ball away instead of going for the check down that would have given them a few yards and made the FG shorter. Sure, it's nitpicky when you put it like that because there was also the long pass that Diggs dropped, but that's far from a clean drive. He did everything in his power to throw the game away, if anything his kicker missing actually bails him out because now it's easier to put the blame somewhere else. Which rounds back to Josh Allen being the only QB in the league that gets so much credit for losing.

Logan saying that if the 49ers somehow do win the superbowl it won't be because of Purdy is what my main problem is with the discourse surrounding the kid because the naysayers won't give him credit even if he gets his team to win the entire reason to play the sport at this level. Carson calling the last drive just a bunch of checkdowns was also not just disrespectful but factually incorrect. The pass to Conley who he has never connected with in any game ever with their season on the line and the dot to Aiyuk on a third down weren't checkdowns and any QB not named Purdy would be credited for that drive.

With a 9-1 record. Played great against the best teams except the ravens with multiple 4 td games. I see you guys are sheep to the narratives too. The thing to remember about Brady v Manning in the playoffs was that the home QB always won. Brady never lost to Manning at home in the playoffs, and Manning never lost to Brady at home in the playoffs. This was across five total games which included two playoff games in New England, one in Indianapolis and two in Denver. (Brady is actually 2-5 against the Manning bros in the playoffs and actually last beat a Manning in a playoff game in January 2005. Since then he lost three AFC title games against Peyton Manning and then the two Super Bowls against Eli Manning.

I believe Josh played good enough to win the game, I mean even on the final drive Diggs dropped 60 yard bomb that could go to the house. He did right things, didn't turn the ball over, scored with his legs and arm. The issue was that defence and Pat doing Pat things. Think about it, Chiefs had less than 23 minutes of possesion and 2 of those were kneel downs so basically in 21 minutes they scored 27 and if Hardman doesn't stretch for the TD and fumbles for the touchback they would have 34 in just 21 minutes, that is despicable. Also that call to fake the punt on 4th and 5 on your own 30 with 13 mins left in a 3 point game is asking to lose imo. In the end, better run organisation, winning mentality coach and players + Mahomes and Kelce, there is a reason they are in the 6th straight AFC title game, these guys get it done and it was too much for the Bills to overcome but this loss for me doesn't fall on Josh, yeah he could have score a TD on the final drive to be clutch and that criticisms I get but this loss is much more on McDermott, playcalling and the defence than on Josh.

Entitled much? Allen scored 44 touchdowns and led (or was top 5 if not leading) in multiple major statistical categories which Lamar was mediocre in. Mediocre doesn't get the MVP award just cuz the players team was excellent or had a better record. It's not the Most Valuable Team award it's the Most Valuable Player award. Most Valuable to their team. Can't win without that player. No player means more to their team's success than Allen.

Josh did great but made dumb decisions on what could have been the game winning drive Brock played mediocre but made great plays on the game winning drive. Also the packers had beaten the chiefs late in the regular season so the opponents were roughly equal. So if you’re giving Josh a pass who just sucks in the post season, maybe stop speculating on Brock “preventing” a Super Bowl.
