Wow, that's a heck of a bet, Chris! Especially for back then. That was a lot of money! The Reds were about as big an underdog a team could be! Love that Davis rookie. That was a huge card back in the day!

Hi Chris, do you have the boardgame called stratomatic baseball which we played in the 1960s as Kids. Great game to learn to manage teams

Chris as a die hard Reds fan I really enjoyed that story. Nice Eric Davis and Pops Stargell cards

Great job figuring out your camera situation! We only bother to tease the people we like. 😉 I really like the 76 design as well. After having examples from every year on my wall for awhile now it might even be my favorite of the decade. Nice Eric Davis rookie card. He was spectacular for a few years.

While you may have had trouble figuring out the whole camera thing, I cannot get the right lighting configuration for my videos. Subscribed to Vintage Nobody. Great story Chris. Thanks for sharing.

That was a great story, Chris, and you are so right about Eric Davis. He was a hall of fame talent, but he couldn't stay healthy.

Congrats on solving the camera issue, as an old guy with limited tech knowledge I can understand the challenge. That was a great story, as a Reds fan I love the 90 World Series.

I'm sure Honus rests easier now that his jersey doesn't say GRUBSTTIP, and John Mangini too. I remember the '90 Series. I had a table at a card show (my best card was the one with Yogi, Mickey and Hank Bauer) and I bought a Reds cap, white with a red bill, to show my allegiance. I remember at the start of the series the guy with team gear was sold out of Oakland caps and jerseys (there was a frenzy over the Bash Brothers) but had plenty of Cincinnati. My team skunked the Mighty A's in 4 games, but the Reds have not been back in the Series in 34 years since.

Hi Chris, I enjoyed your story and remember that World Series. Everyone thought the A's were going to win.
