Your dad used to say we were cousins. My mother immigrated after WWII and her maiden name was the same. Beautiful tribute to him. Was a kind and talented man.

@@PatrickZelinskimusic no I wish I did. I’m a visual artist. I played the shakers in a Samba band and I did play a Cajon for a while too. Also sing and danced in live theatre a few years but I haven’t got back to any of it other than my artwork and photography, since the pandemic.

A beautiful composition and skilled guitar playing Patrick. I knew your dad for a long time. I regret never having purchased one of his art works. He had a fabulous sense of colour, composition and subject matter and was a most talented watercolur artist. We used to seem to see a lot of each other but lives get busy and later it didn't seem so often, more by chance in a store, or at an art gallery or sales event. After he moved to Red Rock I saw him every year at the Folk Festival where I had a booth at the artisan market and we would always catch up with each other, usually art talk. He knew my middle son's drawing, paintings and song composing as well and would ask about him too. Your composition for this really reflects his quiet, gentle and kind character and the way Greg had in conversation and when he taught his classes. Thank you so much for sharing. I hope you have great success with your music, usually a difficult career to be recognized in.

Thanks Tine for the kind words and insight and thoughts on my dad. May I ask who your son is by chance? Also we are about to get a lot of my dads original paintings soon once we can recover them across the border and if you were interested in one down the road I can talk to my family.. Hope your well and best of luck with the art as well..

@@PatrickZelinskimusic My son is Clay Breiland. He has videos on You Tube and a couple of Instagram accounts. And If you get some of Greg's originals back or even good quality prints he may have made of them I would be interested.

Came from the Reddit post. Amazing music. Loved it; sounds melancholic, but in a way that sounds almost hopeful too? Sort of like a sad yet thankful remembrance. Your father was a wonderful artist and his son a talented guitarist. Makes me think of my dad. Thank you so much for sharing.
